GTM Builders

I am happy as can be with GTM. My house was completed in 10 weeks. I was between houses, so this was great. I am happy with how everything turned out. As to be expected, there were a few things here and there that needed to be fixed after I moved in. All of their subs that I dealt with were responsive and efficient. Matt was great to work with. I liked all the upgrades that were standard for GTM. If I ever build a house again, I would not hesitate to use GTM!!

We have been extremely pleased with GTM. They said they would build our house in 90 days and they did it quicker than that. Even with the quick build time they still did quality work. We had one issue after moving in because of a bad ac unit. After we discovered the problem and contacted GTM and the subcontractor the problem was fixed the next day.

I’ll start with saying my family is happy with our home, it is exactly what we wanted. The process was quick, easy and they were good to work with... until we closed. We closed with a list of items that needed to be completed after we moved in. They rushed to get things done so that we could move in ASAP because our living situation was not ideal. We appreciated that. One of the things on the list was exterior paint. A couple weeks after close they came to paint the exterior but when it came time to paint the doors, the painter asked if he could come back in a week. That was fine, except he didn’t show up. I contacted the builder and he said they’d be there the following week. Again, they didn’t show up. We went through spells of bad weather so it couldn’t be done (understandable) but when the weather cleared, it was so difficult to get a commitment on a time for them to come back. Constant follow up with many times no response. Finally we got a date for them to come and we had to leave them there to paint, but when we came home the paint color was wrong. We called the builder immediately and he said they’d get someone there to paint the following week. Fast forward to today, I’m waiting for the painters to show. I walk outside and he pulls up (after the scheduled time) clearly upset he has to be there at all. He’s asking me many questions about why we told them the wrong paint color (which we didn’t) I said it was always supposed to be a specific color from the day we designed and he was extremely rude about the whole situation. He drives off saying someone will be here in a few hours, hours after they were supposed to be there. Needless to say, we feel very much like we don’t matter. They take care of you until they’re paid and suddenly it’s as if you making this huge decision to build a home for your family with them doesn’t matter. Yes I love my home, and it’s just paint on a door at the end of the day, but it left us extremely frustrated with the way we were treated. With the amount of money we spent to build our dream home, I don’t think it’s too much to ask to get paint done timely, especially on the face of your house. I realize the painters are not their employees, and they are busy with the number of homes going up, but they shouldn’t no show and treat their customers poorly. It left us with a very bad taste in our mouths and beyond frustrated. I love their homes, but don’t close until your home is complete.

Rocky and I first looked "earnestly" for a new home mid January of this year without even preparing our existing home at all for sale. We found a floor plan we loved and selected the interior/exterior materials. The GTM team was great at helping us get our house sold (for what we were asking for it) and we ended up living with family for 3 weeks while we waited for the new house to be competed. It was slated to be compete in 90 days and I thought that would be a stretch, but even with bad storms this winter,we still closed on time. Rocky, who has some experience in building was impressed with the quality of workmanship all through the house. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the job site all through the building process. The contractors are very careful not to leave building waste around and take pride in a clean construction site. We closed and moved in exactly on schedule and after being in our house for a couple weeks now, I am still impressed with the little "extras" that are included in the base price of the house and not an upgrade that would be the case with another builder. Thanks again GTM - it was great working with you and a very smooth transition. I would highly recommend their team to anyone who is looking to build.

Driving home from SLC one day, my wife asked if we could stop by one of the GTM Model Homes to have a look. (Little did I know that she had been looking into GTM Builders for quite awhile) We stopped in and were greeted by Seth. He took us on a tour of the Model and we went over all the great features they have as standard items (which are upgrades to most all other builders). We fell in love with the Leah! However, there were a few things that just didn’t sit right with my wife about the layout of the floor plan so she started piecing together some ideas for changes. We presented those changes and Matt was more than willing to work up a new design for us that included those changes. We are Very pleased with the final result! Quality work from the start! After moving in and meeting people from the community, we tell them where we live and the response is usually, “Oh, the house with the BEAUTIFUL back window! I LOVE that Window!” We love it too! Highly recommend GTM Builders if you are considering buying a new home. They have been a joy to work with and we LOVE our new home!

We absolutely loved working with GTM! When they say everything is included, they actually mean it. It's amazing!! They built our home very quickly with the highest of quality and care. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I am so glad we went with this company as we have heard horror stories from other friends and builders they went with. Both Seth and Matt are a dream to work with and take every suggestion and detail to heart! They are extremely communicative and have exceptional at keeping you up to date on your build! I would choose GTM again in a heartbeat! They have won us over and their statement "Let us build your dream home" is something they live by through and through! I would hands down refer them to anyone and everyone!
