We cannot speak highly enough of our experience working with Jason Hanrahan and the Han-Cor Construction team. Jason is very knowledgeable, professional and is truly a person of great integrity. He and his team worked hard to ensure our renovation was what we envisioned for our home. Jason guided us every step of the way and gave us sound advice that led to decisions we are very pleased with. And the custom fireplace mantle he built adds unique beauty and character to our space. A major home renovation, while remaining in the home with small children was a stressful process, but we fully trusted Han-Cor with getting the job done. We especially appreciated how Jason went out of his way to make us feel like a priority; he was always available to answer questions and offer his assistance. Han-Cor Construction is a leader in the industry for a reason. We trust Jason and his team whole heartedly and will be seeking their expertise for future home projects.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience with HanCor Construction was frustrating enough that I feel other customers should be aware. From the beginning, the project lacked proper planning and communication. I was promised a clear schedule, but the crew showed up inconsistently, and days would pass with no work being done or any explanation. Every time I asked for updates, I either received vague answers or no reply at all. The quality of the workmanship was also far below what I expected for the price. Several parts of the job looked rushed and uneven, and some areas needed to be redone entirely. Instead of taking responsibility, the company kept insisting that “it’s normal” or “it will settle,” even though the issues were clearly visible and not acceptable for a finished project. What made the situation worse was the lack of accountability. Whenever I pointed out problems, they either delayed addressing them or acted like it wasn’t a priority. By the end, I had to hire another contractor just to fix the mistakes, which cost me extra time and money. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing construction experiences I’ve had. Poor communication, unreliable scheduling, and substandard workmanship. I would not recommend HanCor Construction to anyone looking for a professional and dependable contractor.

We selected Han-Cor for our renovation project to turn one large bathroom into an ensuite and main bath and so glad we did. Jason was able to successfully work with his sub-trades in this difficult environment of COVID and volume of construction these days to finish and cleanup before our Christmas deadline. We are thrilled with the results and we highly recommend Han-Cor for your project.

Jason and his team recently completed our kitchen renovation - the second one which we've used him for as we'd used his services for a kitchen reno at our previous house 6 years ago. Once again, Jason did quality work for us, and the project was finished on time, even with some unforeseen structural issues when we tore out the old kitchen. Jason helped us navigate through that process successfully and we are very pleased with our new kitchen.

Working with Jason Hanrahan, owner of Han-Cor Construction was a first-rate experience. From the beginning of our working relationship with Jason, he strived to ensure that we were informed of the steps that are required by the province, the steps that were required to build a house, and clearly outlined our allowances. Jason walked us through the building process and streamlined each step for us by breaking it down into sections to ensure that we were informed and included in all the decision-making processes as the build progressed. Jason was available all hours of the day and evenings to answer questions. He informed us at each step of the process and ensured we were informed of financial difference’s, allowed us to be involved in the process of each step and offered solutions to the problems that arose during the build. When Jason had questions on the building plans, designs, changes to the blue prints etc as we progressed with our build, Jason made the time to meet with us to review our changes, identified problems that could result from our changes but offered solutions to ensure we were compliant with codes. We made a lot of changes, and Jason made sure to take the time to ensure we were getting our forever home and that we were extremely happy with the end result. Jason regularly took it upon himself to ensure the quality of workmanship was above and beyond expectations. He has high standards of himself, his employees and his sub contractors. His attention to detail and need to ensure the workmanship is at a high standard was evident at each step of the process. Jason does not settle for good enough, but strives for exceptional work and high standards from everyone who works with him, and for him. Building a house can be stressful, and I won’t tell you there wont be times that you aren’t frustrated with your spouse, or your builder, but I can tell you that Jason understands the struggles you are going through, he adapts quickly to change with a positive outlook, seamlessly identifies his clients wants, needs and expectations and strives to ensure you have the home you want with masterful workmanship for years to come.

We had Hancor do two projects; one in the fall 2020 (Ensuite/Laundry) and the other in Jan/Feb 2021 (Main Bath). Jason and the Hancor team were great two work with and the quality of the work completed for our projects was all done to a high standard. They put up barriers and protective coverings to protect floors and keep dust to a minimum. The subcontractors used by Hancor are all great people and were very accommodating for any changes we needed to make. We would have them back for any future projects and highly recommend Hancor.

As someone in construction I know how important attention to detail is. We recently had Han-cor come into our newly purchased home (bathroom.) Underneath the shower window had been leaking for quiet some time. He not only cut out all the old rotten studs but he made it his goal to make sure this problem would not re-occur. Everything was put back together with fine attention to detail. His sub came in and did an elite job on the shower tile/tub surround. If you’re looking for a job done right call Han-Cor!

We could not be more pleased with the quality of the workmanship that Jason (Han Cor Construction) provided us. We launched a major house addition just as Covid started and what may have been a daunting task was made much easier by the attention Jason paid to our concerns. His communication was exemplary and also his responsiveness. His attention to detail and quality was above reproach. Jason truly cares about doing a job to the highest level - be it better quality subfloor or making sure cuts and angles were perfectly straight. If he seen a fault he would correct it, not hide it. His honesty is also noteworthy and his management and coordination of subcontractors was outstanding. We feel we truly received a superior product with Han-Cor Construction . Jason is the contractor you want if you value communication, fair prices and quality results. We would recommend Jason and Han-Cor without reservation.

Han-Cor Construction just finished a big renovation for me, of a 1965-built home. It included two new bedrooms, a bath, and a laundry room in an unfinished basement; updated family room and craft room; new closets upstairs; and a kitchen refresher. Jason Hanrahan is meticulous and demands the same high standards from his subs. I’m very pleased with the quality of the work and his attention to detail. I highly recommend him and his firm.

Jason & his team renovated our kitchen & dining room knocking a wall down & opening up the space. This project involved replacing window, flooring, kitchen cabinets, backsplash & countertop. 1st major renovation so pretty inexperienced. Every renovation has bumps - we decided partway through the renovation we wanted to add new hardwood rather than vinyl. I know that mid renovation changes are difficult but Jason made it work smoothly. (And it was a smart choice.) Very pleased with the way my kitchen & dining room look & the price was on target. I would definitely recommend him.

Jason was hired to create two new bathrooms upstairs. He was honest and upfront with us. If anything would cost more, he would let us know and got our permission before proceeding. His team is professional and amazing. The plumbers found and fixed a leak in our laundry room for us. I won't hesitate to recommend him. Our bathrooms are wonderful. Thanks.
