Don Groody built our green, high performance dream home in 2010. We sold it in 2018 for about 67% more than we paid. Throughout the design and build process, Don proved to be reliable and responsive. Even more, in years since the home warranty was over, he has been there to provide advice and recommendations. If you want an energy-efficient home with a custom floorplan for a reasonable price, we highly recommend Don Groody of Hometown Builders.

Don and Cher are wonderful to work with and have become good friends beyond the obvious business relationship. Very detail and quality oriented. Quick to respond to questions and minor issues, even a year and a half after moving in. Would not hesitate to build with them again. Happy to talk personally if needed. My Wife and I designed and built a full custom home on Lake Travis with French Homes. French homes provided both design services as well as all construction and materials selections. They were fantastic to work with. The stuck to the schedule, the stayed within the cost guide lines we had agreed on, and had very high quality of work. They have worked with the Subcontractors for a number of years so the day by day work went very smooth. We had to do much of the build phase remotely as we were 1500 miles away from the site and French homes sent us daily photo updates and videos. I can highly recommend them
