Well this review is a long long time coming, sorry Mike and Betsy. Interlakes builders built my retirement home for us in the lakes region in 2013 and we are still amazed at the quality of our home. What’s amazing the most is the energy efficiency of our house. Mike and his crew built us a three bedroom ranch that his team helped us design with a breezeway/laundry room, 16x16 all season room on the rear of the house ,kitchen pantry and attached 3 car garage. Mike even raised the living room -kitchen part of the house to break up the roof so it didn’t look like a plain old ranch house, it also provided a full attic with stairs ! Our kitchen is still shown on his homepage, thank you! Mike built our home in 2013 and nothing has gone wrong with it, well I did have to pull ONE (1) finish nail from the beautiful hardwood floor steps going down into the basement, that’s it till this day ! Oh wait a minute one of the garage door openers came loose and Mike left a smoke trail to get here to fix it !(not Interlakes install) Mikes outstanding work included radiant heat and finishing off the rear of our breeze way with a 4th garage door which is perfect for extra storage or a 4 wheeler. Mike also directed us to EnergySavers in Meredith for a fireplace which we opted for ambiance not to heat the home, but guess what ? It heats the whole house ! We also added a small pellet stove in our all season room and you can’t run both at the same time, it gets too hot in the house ! As I write this long overdue review it’s 6.6° degrees outside my pellet stove is on its lowest setting and I have a fire in the fireplace. Temp in my all-season room is 76.1 and the kitchen is….hold on I have to get up and go look…..78 in kitchen. Inter-lakes Builders designed and built a home for us in 2014. This was the first time we ever built a home and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They did everything right.! They completed the house on schedule and at the agreed price. They used the highest quality materials and paid very close attention to detail in every aspect of the finishes. They employ a full time building crew and a team of subcontractors that have worked together with them for many years. This experience shows. Each member accepts full responsibility for the work they do and they work closely together as a team to make sure everything goes smoothly. Every person we dealt with was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Inter-lakes worked closely with us on a few design iterations until the plans completely reflected what we were looking for. They made many well-founded recommendations about features they thought would improve the final product. Although we had only a few changes during the build, they were always willing to work with us to accomplish the change. The final product is outstanding. They used the latest building practices to guarantee a very tight, well insulated, efficiently heated and cooled house that we are very proud of.
