We recently purchased a home in Weston, MA that was built by David Kane 19 years ago. We were impressed with the materials that were used, the superb craftmanship, along with the attention to detail. The many unique features that this home has demonstrates the talent and forward thinking of David Kane. It is truly a beautiful home that we enjoy every day!

We are now in our second David Kane home. We bought our first home from David in 1994 in the framed stage. The sale is not the end of the relationship for David. It is the beginning. He helped us choose finishes and fixtures, which was reassuring, since we trust his taste more than our own. We raised our family happily in that home and have now moved into his most recent masterpiece. We loved the first home and had no great reason to move, other than a change of pace with the kids moving on and the desire for a bigger garage. We saw the new home and fell in love. To do our due diligence, we looked at every home in town within +/-35% price range and couldn't find anything that could compare. David designs and builds with a sense of casual elegance. He employs just the right mix of architectural detail, fixtures and finishes. The systems behind the scenes are attended to just as importantly. Our new home not only has top notch appliances, but is built with great attention to environmental responsibility, designed in advance for both solar photovoltaic and solar hot water systems, and built in a "bathtub" of spray foam insulation into which the foundation was poured. As with the first home, David stands by his creation. He maintains relationships with all his contractors and attends to all the little details after move-in to make sure living in the home is as he and we intended. He cares about the experience. Rather than pouring the final coat of asphalt on the driveway to make it look perfect for sale, he held off until after move-in so the heavy trucks don't mar the fresh surface. We've now asked David to build us an additional detached garage, something he conceptualized when he planned the home in the building envelope. We wouldn't contemplate asking anyone else to do this for us, as we know he'll match the appearance and workmanship of the house and cares about the functional and aesthetic integration into the property as a whole. We are proud to be two-time Kane homeowners.

We have lived in the house Dave designed and built for us for 18 years. While he property began as a spec house, we were fortunate to find it in the early stages and worked closely with Dave to customize many features of the interior. With finely tuned attention to every detail - from door knobs and drawer pulls to major systems, our home has stood up to 18 years of toddlers, kids, puppies and dogs and has retained a timeless feel. Were we to build another home in the area, we would hire Kane Holdings in a heartbeat. I have also viewed a number of his other projects, and over the 18 years I have known him, it is clear that he still retains a passion for his work.

David found us a beautiful lot in the town we wanted to live in near the golf course we belong to. David allowed us to work with him on the interior design making it the best home for us. We have built 4 times and this is our absolute favorite. It is so well built, energy efficient, and so comfortable we love it and never want to leave it. The way the house sets in the yard along with the rock walls create a charm in itself. We thank David for all his patience, exceptional attention to detail and the quality of his work!
