We want to sincerely thank Leising builders for building us such an amazing home overlooking Canyon Lake. The craftsmanship, construction quality, and attention to detail are beyond anything we could have imagined. It truly feels as though he built this home for himself, not just for a client. From start to finish, the service was superb. Every part of the process was handled professionally, honestly, and with care. The final result is absolutely breathtaking. In fact, the city has even mentioned that this is one of the best-looking homes in the area, and our neighbors constantly compliment it. The home has truly become the talk of the community. Even now, every time I drive up to the house, I’m still amazed that it belongs to me. That feeling never gets old. Thank you again, Leising, for creating not just a house, but a dream home that our family will enjoy for many years to come.

Jim Leising and his team began work on our three-level home in April 2021. The work was very extensive with almost every room of the house completely renovated. In addition, they built from scratch a new bathroom and two new bedrooms. This project involved moving walls and building new walls. Jim had two amazing guys build and install custom-built display shelving with illumination lights for our extensive rock and fossil collection, custom-built shelving in three walk-in closets, a bar with glass shelving for glassware, and several built-in bookcases in our library. We had a gorgeous chandelier installed fifteen feet above the living-room floor. The four existing bathrooms were completely renovated. We hired a designer; Jim and she worked together very well. Jim was amazing, always responsive to our questions. His team members were incredible throughout the three years. The first two years involved renovating each of the three levels; the final year involved two main outdoor projects. We had a bird aviary built at one end of the house and we had a 100-foot long driveway on a steep hillside (the driveway was actually collapsing and falling down the hillside!) completely rebuilt with a two-foot high retaining wall.

Wow, I really don’t know where to begin. Well I will start off with, not only was I lucky enough to get to work with one Leising, but I worked with two Leising professionals. Chad Leising sold my previous home for me and then sold me the property where I later built my new home with Jimmy Leising of Leising Builders. Both men have incredible integrity and take pride and ownership in everything they do. My experience with Leising Builders was like having a family member build my home. Jimmy was on top of everything and kept me informed of all that was going as my home was being built. I have to say, building a home during COVID19 was not easy; so many things were on back order and then got pushed out further or materials were not even available; but Jimmy was persistent and kept on getting my home built. I was building my custom home by myself; well not really, because Jimmy helped me every step of the way. It was not easy, there were so many decisions and deadlines to meet and sometimes it could be so overwhelming for one person; but Jimmy was always there with words of encouragement and help and suggestions. He went way over and beyond what anyone would ever expect a contractor to do. Like I mentioned previously, it was like a family member was building my home. Everyone that worked for Jimmy, knew his high level of expectations and standards. Most of the people that worked for him had been in business with him well over 10 years. Every time someone came into may home, wether it be an electrician or a painter or a cabinet maker, they knew not to come into one of the homes Jimmy was working on, without putting shoe coverings on so not to carry dirt to the home. All of the people that worked on my home, were also very professional and friendly. Jimmy introduced me to everyone and I knew them all on a first name basis. They all were hired by Leising Builders because Jimmy knew that they to carried the same high level of standards that he too believed in. Jimmy watched over and managed the building of my home as if it the home that he would be moving into, not just a home that he was building. I can’t believe I am now in my beautiful custom home, it looks even better than I imagined it would in my mind. I would highly recommend Leising Builders for absolutely all of you building needs; whether it be starting from the ground up or for a home remodel. Trust me when I say, you can feel at home with Leising Builders!

Jim is a very competent builder. We just moved into the house a couple weeks ago and love it.

We have built or remodeled four homes before entering into contract with this one and we have definitely had our share of problems with those projects. Working with James Leising is a completely different story: it has been a delightful experience and an uplifting one. It's uplifting because we're in partnership with an experienced, ethical, meticulous, kind individual who is a master builder. He's considerate of us, the neighbors living around the building site, his workers, and the deadline he set for himself to complete the project. We visit the site every Sunday and when we arrive it is scrupulously clean, the project for the week is completed, and he's even set up chairs in a shady spot so we can have a picnic and enjoy the view from the house. The experience is a delight because there's a surprise tucked into each stage of the project: one week the vintage beams in the great room are in place before we expected to see them there; another week the windows have not only arrived but are installed. Our neighbors-to-be also live in Leising-built homes and they have the same high regard for him. They tell us that Jimmy himself completely cleans the construction site every Friday afternoon. We couldn't recommend him more highly.

So far so good! We met with James over a year ago and also interviewed other builders. Regardless of who we spoke to we always ended up with Leising builders at the top of our list. His professionalism, knowledge and expertise is what we needed since we were hundreds of miles away in St. Louis. He was not the cheapest builder that we interviewed, but we were looking for quality workmanship and peace of mind. We have gone down the path of building before and we know what it is live through the challenges/stress of hiring the wrong builder. Right now we are two months into building and many months into the very specific design we were looking for and he has been worth every penny. He knows everything about the politics of getting permits, he sends us pictures at least once a week, he lets us know of options that will logically save us money without losing the quality we are looking for. From what we have experienced I can only say great things! I look forward to the completion of our beautiful home and love that he has a great eye for all the small details and the experience we need for the big details.

We are in the middle of a piece by piece home remodel project. This current remodel project was on the smaller side but still an important one. We are very fortunate that Leising Builders was available for our remodel. Even though we were only doing a small section of the house, our loft and stairwell, Jim and his crew of subcontractors treated this job as if it were an entire home remodel. Jim was very hands on from start to finish. I always knew what to expect on any given day. Jim offered a ton of helpful advice to give us an amazing space that feels timeless. I highly recommend Leising Builders.

We recently had a new home constructed in “The Ridge” development in Fallbrook with Leising Builders. Jim Leising is a true professional and exceptional builder. We couldn't have been more pleased with the quality and outcome of his work. This is our first custom home and Jim made the process comfortable for us every step of the way. We worked with him on several variations of our floor plans which he drafted based on our input and needs. Once finalized, he communicated with us throughout all the phases of the build, letting us know timelines of making selections and decisions. Jim is very active in all phases of the build, often visiting our home multiple times per day. Jim has very high standards for himself and his network of trades people (who have been with him for decades). He will never compromise on quality and uses higher end building materials, electrical and plumbing, cabinetry, and appliances. If there was ever something that needed to be corrected, Jim addresses it quickly. We are ecstatic over our new home! We are extremely happy we have had the pleasure to work with Jim!

Leising Builders is without a doubt the finest construction company I've ever worked with. I waited 5 months after moving into our new home to write this review. Almost always you're going to find a few problems that come to light after spending time in a new home. Happy to say that is not the case here, His craftsmanship and design are 5 STARS PLUS. What a craftsman! Jim Leising is not just another builder or remodeler, he is a man of vision who can help turn an ordinary remodel job into a stunning work of art. And that is just what he did for my wife and me. He ripped out an ordinary tract kitchen and turned it into someting quite remarkable. Yes, he asked all the right questions about what we really wanted in a kitchen and provided a full set of blueprints for approval before beginning the job. Then while we were vacationing for two weeks, he razed and remodeled so that everything was nearly done when we returnedhome. The result? We are relocating to Fallbrook CA. from Colorado and after looking at many existing homes in the Fallbrook area, and checking out the Ridge development and Jim Leisings work ,we decided to invest in a new Tuscan style home built by Leising Contractors. At this time the home is about 70% complete, on schedule and on budget. We are very happy with the progress of the project and the quality of Jims subcontractors work. Jim has extensive knowledge in all aspects of construction, and a good eye for architectural style. He has an excellent group of workmen that are anxious to please him and the owner of the project. Always speedy completion with great quality. Jim built our original house, a later addition of garage expansion with living space and bath above, and on another occasion , added a sun-room and pergola to the house.

I have worked with Jimmy on several projects over the years and I will continue to recommend him to my clients for remodel and new builds. He is very thorough and gets the project done on schedule! I purchased a 2+ acre lot in the Ridge (Fallbrook) from Jimmy in February of 2015. I also hired Jimmy to design and construct the house. It is now mid June 2015 and my wife and I are extremely happy with the relationship and results to date. Here is why: - He is fast. Jimmy has had a consistent focus on the property with no time gaps. The design process, permitting, and initial construction have all exceeded schedule expectations. - He is flexible. Jimmy is not a ridged type that holds you to every prior stated detail. Of course, changes made late in the process have financial and schedule impact, but Jimmy has demonstrated flexibility early in the process. - Fair pricing: After much local market analysis, I believe Jimmy provides considerable value for the quoted pricing. In addition, he does not nickel and dime you on small changes within reason. - Quality standards: The base level home that Jimmy builds has a genuine feel of luxury and quality. He has exceeded expectations on the base level of building materials, electrical and plumbing specifications, cabinetry, and appliances. - Subcontractors: So far, Jimmy seems to have long-term partnerships with a large group of reliable and professional contractors. None has disappointed to date. In summary, at this point (we are about half way done!), I would most definitely recommend Jimmy for a large remodel or new build. We settled on Leising Builders to help us accomplish a major remodel (every piece of flooring, master bedroom, office, all bathrooms, entire kitchen, new laundry and pantry, as well as outdoor living space). The project was done in 3 phases and all were completed on time. Jimmy is a knowledgeable professional who was at the job site every day to ensure subs were completing tasks on time and with attention to great detail. During times of stress, and there was plenty to go around because we lived through the remodel, he always had a positive attitude and a way to lighten the mood. He was careful to not saddle us with too many decisions at once. Rather, he took a step by step approach and helped us focus on decisions that were time sensitive. He utilized CAD to concept the rebuild of the master and the kitchen and had wonderful ideas that come from years of experience. One of our favorite details came from a suggestion made by him and is something that everyone comments on today.

We hired Jimmy Leising to do a complete remodel to our home in April 2013. The house was a 1985 ranch style home with low ceilings and roofline. We designed a French country estate home which required about a 60% demolition. We do not think any other builder could have completed this extensive remodel with the knowledge and hands on work that Jimmy did. He physically worked on this house for 12 months and brought in the perfect subcontractors to do the best job. Jimmy's high standards and attention to detail from slab to finish were of the highest quality. His experience in construction was a huge asset in keeping the project on schedule. He has a vast knowledge that saved us money where we could, such as in framing and connecting old tusses to new framing. Jimmy does not just hire subs, he works with them in every phase. From demolishing the old house to installing the appliances himself, he took a pride of ownership on the project that could not be matched. Without reservation, we recommend Leising Builders for any new custom home or remodel project.

Leising builders did a major remodel on an older home we had just purchased. Jim and his sub contractors did an amazing job! Jim stayed on top of the project and sub contractors to guarantee the remodel would end up being our dream home! Jim had great ideas to help us plan and design what the final results would be!
