We had a main floor refresh in our recently purchased older home and are extremely pleased with the results. LIDA and their team were excellent! The attention given to the details throughout the project, starting with Nick and Mika giving great advice and options to define the scope right through to the fine finishing details. We were kept informed throughout the project of the progress and of any obstacles that might impact the schedule. The project was on time and within budget. Nick was approachable and met with us on a regular basis to inform us of the progress and planned work throughout. Mika guided us thoughtfully in the planning and selection process. She listened and designed with our input and achieved excellent results. We certainly appreciated her suggestions and guidance. As with any project, there were challenges and problems along the way but all were dealt with promptly and effectively. We strongly recommend considering LIDA for your project needs.

For me, building a new home from scratch was both exciting and scary. I had never done anything like it before. I met with several builders and ultimately chose LIDA Constuction. Why? LIDA has won a bunch of Awards for their work, and they have a bunch of happy customers (that now includes myself). Add to that, I met with the owner, who laid out LIDA's approach, transparent communications, experience, in-house design specialists, and dedicated project management... and it's all true. The dedicated professionals at LIDA walked beside me through every aspect of planning, design, permitting, construction and finishing using combinations of in-house specialists and high-quality trades/professionals. My dedicated project manager (Keith), and my design consultant (Mika) were experienced, they listened, they brought solutions and ideas to issues, they communicated openly and often, and were always accessible to answer any questions I had. They were on top of everything, compromised on nothing and always educated me on decisions that needed to be made. LIDA brought my concept for a home to life and I love it. They are nice people who care about what they do and I strongly recommend the LIDA team.

Where to begin…? This epic saga began in the Fall of 2021, and is only concluding in Spring of 2024. What started out as an addition to a 1950s home, eventually became a brand new house with a new home warranty! The whole time Lida Homes was not responsible for this insane scope creep, but it was just how things fell into place. What company would have the experience and patience to endure the arduous journey through the miles of red tape with Saanich, grumpy neighbours, multiple changes of scope, rising costs with everything, and during covid? What business is owned and staffed by people who genuinely care about the client, and reaching the end result without cutting corners? Lida Homes! Shoutout to the project managers Aaron and Nick, and the amazing designer Lawrie, who had the patience to deal with rather demanding clients. Owner Dave was really understanding, especially when one in my family became seriously ill, and helped by being accommodating with sudden changes to the project timing and being flexible on the monetary side of things. The use of the BuilderTrend app on the computer and phone took a little while to get used to. It contained all the project information, documentation, budgeting, selections, plans, photos, etc. It sure beat having to deal with physical paperwork. We approached Lida Homes with more than one novel idea for our family home, and they made all happen. At one point we had to get Nickel Bros to lift the entire upper section of the house to replace the foundation. Attention to detail by the project managers was very high, and the chosen trades were top-notch. There were a few times when mistakes were made, and Lida Homes took immediate responsibility without any fuss. Everyone we worked with was also very responsive whether by phone call, text or email. The weekly progress reports were great! One of the best things about engaging Lida Homes was so that we didn’t have to deal with the City of Saanich directly. Saanich is literally one of the worst when it comes to permit wait times, inspections, and the never-ending red tape that comes with it all. I highly recommend Lida Homes for quality, high-end build results. They will hold your hand from start to finish, and give good honest advice when asked. After years of saving and months of researching, I finally decided to team up with Lida Homes for my much anticipated kitchen renovation. Trusting the positive customer reviews, and their reputation for a thorough work ethic, I was confident in choosing Lida for the job. Throughout the project, the team at Lida was not only friendly but also demonstrated their high skill level and attention to detail. They listened carefully to my requests and were able to work within my budget, even completing the project under budget. The end result surpassed my expectations and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of our collaboration. Special thanks to Mika and Nick, who worked tirelessly every day to bring my vision to life while also taking into consideration the needs of my elderly pets. Unlike other designers I have worked with in the past, Mika never imposed her own ideas on me but instead focused on making my ideas a reality. LIDA is amazing. They listened and gave us amazing suggestions without pressure. In fact, they made sure that what we wanted to do was appropriate for the house AND our budget. They made sure that what we wanted to do was fiscally responsible with current house prices.

Great experience with our home renovation by LIDA Homes. they wee very professional from start to finish. Their interior designer Mika was very helpful with the details of the design and coordination of materials/fixtures. We now have a much more modern looking home. The key person for our renovations was Nick, the project manager. He did a fantastic job of organizing the various trades to do the work that resulted in a very good outcome. Would hire LIDA Homes to build a new house in the future because of the job they did on our renovations and insist that Nick be our project manager.

My wife and I worked with the team at LIDA Construction and could not have been happier with the result. The staff at LIDA are absolutely the nicest, hardest working and most professional people I have encountered.

We would highly recommend Lida Homes to friends, family or colleagues. From the initial meeting until the end, Lida Homes had great communication and was always accommodating to our plans and changes along the way. The system they have in place is fantastic. We always knew where we were at re timing, budgeting and upcoming scheduling. We also really valued that Lida Homes has everything in-house including their design and construction team, which made things a lot easier and quicker when having to adapt to changes. No matter who it was on the team we dealt with they were all very respectful, communicative, responsive, and helpful, which was needed for our first renovation project. As with any construction project there were some unforeseen challenges but Lida Homes did everything they could to assist and alleviate the stress. We now have a brand new garage, deck, bathroom and kitchen that were completed to first class quality and we couldn’t be happier with the finishings. The end product was exactly what we wanted. Lida Homes is an excellent homebuilder & general contractor and I highly recommend them to anyone in Victoria and/or the Saanich Peninsula BC area. Dave, Lisa and their team, headed in my build with Andrew and Lawrie are responsive, consultative and demonstrated only the highest integrity in the SFH they built for me in Sidney in 2020/ 2021. We worked collegially and cooperatively on the project from design though to final completion. Their many awards are well earned but don't do justice to the excellence of their project management and commitment to high quality detail.
