Beware, Beware of using this contractor. I hired them to reno my basement and all bathrooms in the house. They kept going asking for more money as the project went on with all sorts of excuses. The owner is hot headed, stubborn and very rude! He is always right and ignores reasons. The costs kept creeping up and the time lines kept moving. In the end they were 8 months past schedule. What can hyou do when they have your home torn apart and I was at their mercy!!! Never again. I don't want anybody to go through the hell that I went through!!! Beware!!

We've had the pleasure of dealing with Maki Construction on three separate occasions. They were extremely professional, detail oriented, had excellent work ethics and were able to meet deadlines in a timely manner. We hired Maki Construction first time 12 years ago when we renovated the main and second floor of our house. It was a pleasant experience. In 2016 we decided to re-do our basement. Despite that Maki Construction was the most expensive quote that we received, we decided to go ahead due to our previous experience. The project was constantly behind the schedule, poor attention to details, poor workmanship and constant misunderstanding between the project managers and the workers. We ended up firing the contractor.

Maki Construction completed a kitchen and mud room renovation in late summer of 2015. They communicated well with us walking us through every step of the way and letting us know what to expect next until the project was completed. All workers were polite and displayed superb craftsmanship. Our new kitchen is the main room in the house for our family to gather together and the mud room turned out more functional than we imagined at the beginning of the project. I am glad I hired Maki Construction to renovate my home. The house was remodeled from top to bottom and the final product exceeded my expectation. On the top floor the bathroom was completely renovated. New tub installed, new ceramic tiles, new vanity with double sinks and new toilet. Three bedrooms, including master bedroom with walk-in closet. All bedrooms had new hardwood floors installed, new doors and frames, new baseboards, sliding doors for closets, stucco ceiling redone and walls painted. Living room and family room had new hardwood floors installed, new baseboards, stucco ceiling redone, walls painted. The powder room on the main level had new tiles installed, new door and frame, new toilet installed and new vanity and pot lights. Kitchen was completely redone with new layout. The range was installed in a more better position away from the corner where it was before. New range hood and ventilation was created and installed. New dishwasher installed with new electrical wiring. Completely new cabinetry. Replaced cabinets which were the original when the house was built in 1984. In the basement we replaced old carpets with nice new laminate flooring. New baseboards were installed, new doors and frames. The bathroom in the basement had a new tub installed, new tiles, new toilet, new vanity and pot lights. The laundry room had new tiles installed and new faucet. The quality of the work Maki Construction did was excellent. They provided great ideas for the renovation project and then made those ideas a reality. The team working on my house was very professional and always ready to answer any questions I had. I would highly recommend Maki Construction. Thank you for a great job!

Maki Construction did an extensive renovation to my condo: 1.Installed coffered ceiling, hiding electrical work for a chandelier; installed bulk heads and pot lights; modified outlets; removed old fire place surround and mantle piece and installed large one piece marble surround; painted room. 2. Tore out tub, shower and flooring in Master Bath; installed new 24X24 tile for floor and walls, large glassed in shower, new toilet. 3. Installed new sink and toilet in powder room. 3. Painted all the rooms; in the case of my yellow choice, modified the colour after the first attempt. The contractor had an excellent project manager who navigated condo regulations, managed the trades so everyone showed up when promised, problem solved and oversaw the quality of work. The trades worked clean, were on time, did excellent work and were respectful. The estimates were accurate and the project came in on budget.
