I had an excellent experience with Mark Porter Construction. Mark was professional, detailed, and timely. He bid a fair price. He did what he said he was going to do in the time frame he promised. He left our property neat and clean. Mark does quality work and I would highly recommend him.

Mark has such a great reputation of building custom homes and remodels that I arranged for him to come to Kauai to head up the remodel of my kitchen. Mark had some amazing ideas for my kitchen that went along with the modern cabinets and granite but we were able to reuse and tie in some of the existing charm and components of our home. A couple being....our old entry door was a hand built mahogany piece with a porthole as a window. Mark had the great idea of using that for our panty door. That added a real nice touch to our kitchen. We had some reclaimed old growth fir flooring that we wanted to do something with. Mark had the great idea of capping our soffit with it to look like an old thick gluelam. With his fine wood working skills we were able to attach it without any face nailing which was a real nice touch.

Mark Porter is multitalented, smart and a great person to work with. He fireproofed the complete perimeter as well as the ground level of our home. The end result is not only professional but pleasing to the eye. Plumbing and electrical jobs were done with great care. The work site was always left impeccably clean. I would hire him for any new projects!

Mark's work is impeccable, he has an incredible eye for detail and he truly listens to the homeowner. The finished product, whatever you are asking for, is exactly what you want. I know I would not use anyone else ,and I encourage anyone interested in having work done, to contact Mark. I can guarantee you will be happy! Another big plus going for Mark is that he loves animals and is so good with them! That is so important to me because I know when Mark is working in my home, both myself and my animals feel safe and well cared for!

Mark "fire-proofed" (fire-safe vents, flashing, etc) our woodland house as well as repairing and replacing some windows. Hus work is topnotch in quality, he's easy to work with and very professional. Highly recommended.
