Nickelson Construction built our custom mountain home, and it turned out better than we ever imagined. Nickelson Construction was incredible to work with. They frequently above and beyond in their service. The basement turned out amazing and exactly how we imagined it. They were incredibly thorough and paid attention to every fine detail. Amazingly, they took care of everything behind the scenes from permits to inspections so all we had to do was work directly with them. All of their crews, and especially Steven, who we worked with directly throughout the process, were amazing. I was particularly impressed that whenever we had a concern, question, or comment, the team was receptive and responsive. I can't recommend them enough.

We could not be happier with our sunroom addition and deck by Nickelson Construction! The entire team was a pleasure to work with from the first consultation through the final reveal. They were able to take our ideas and concepts and guide us throughout the entire process from the initial design to final construction. The construction superintendent, Steven, kept us informed every step of the way and promptly addressed our questions or concerns. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the finished space made our addition blend perfectly with the main structure. We really can’t say enough about Isaac, Steven, and the rest of the team. They added an over-sized garage, a large driveway, a laundry room, pantry, and home office as well as did some significant exterior upgrades. The whole process was wonderful. We felt like our ideas/thoughts were listened to and considered, while appropriate design/cost-saving suggestions were communicated thoughtfully. The upfront process was a bit hard for me to understand at first, but it turned out to be worth the time and careful planning as it set the rest of the process up for success. While nothing in construction seems to be cheap these days, I fully trust this team to give honest and fair prices while still ensuring the highest quality work. And, importantly, we paid the exact number that was given to us in the initial pre-construction phase unless we made a subsequent change/addition. The project was completed on schedule and as expected. All of the subs that showed up communicated how high the standards of professionalism and quality were expected of them by the team. Our property was considerately cared for and our space was respected by all of them, which was wonderful since we lived at the property during the entire construction. Isaac and Steven do everything by the book… All T’s are crossed and I’s are dotted and you just don’t have to worry about something going awry. Having been through some less than ideal prior experiences, this is a welcome change—the design, engineering, construction, and finishes were all vetted and guaranteed. Our project was finished about 7-8 months ago and we’ve had no surprises or problems except for 2 minor things: a garage door opener issue that they sent people to fix the next day and a cabinet door that broke from our dog—they fixed it free of cost. But all doors still open and close perfectly, no settling or cracks in the drywall, the driveway is a dream, no one walks away without commenting on how great the result turned out… we could go on and on. Through the whole process from start to finish they have been very responsive, very kind, and very good. In fact, we are still thinking and dreaming about a phase 2 (hopefully the last one) and there is no chance that we will go with anybody else. I’m sure there are lots of great home remodel/new build companies out there, but Nickelson Construction is at the top of that list.

Nickelson did an amazing job from start to finish with our big kitchen remodel! Clear and timely communication was important to us, and both Isaac and Stephen were excellent communicators. The budget and timeline were accurate, so there were no big surprises along the way. They set realistic expectations, were highly knowledgeable, and had very good attention to detail. I really have no complaints - any issues that arose were pretty minor and were promptly addressed. The quality of work is absolutely stellar. I would 100% recommend Nickelson for remodels and/or new builds; we hope to work with them again in the future!

Isaac Nickelson of Nickelson Construction is one of the most professional, fair, thorough, and friendly contractors I've worked with and the entire staff at Nickelson are super! From the initial interview with Isaac and working with the project manager and designer all went smoothly and any time I had questions, they were quick to respond. There were no surprises along the way and if we needed to make a change, the process was discussed and seamless. I would work with Isaac and Nickelson Construction again! The Nickelson Construction team rebuilt our house after it was destroyed in the Colorado Marshall Fire. They created our forever dream home! The team worked with us from concept to detailed design. The design process was agile and positioned us to build on a quicker schedule as we didn't have to work with a designer and a builder. Their custom process fit our needs perfectly giving us the latitude to select everything but assisting with advice where needed. Once construction began, the team on the ground didn't miss a beat. Their communications and project management were outstanding. Quality has also been outstanding. Nickelson also stuck to the original price and had a mature process around change management. Whether you're looking to remodel or rebuild, this team will not let you down.

Nickelson Construction was very professional throughout the entire course of the remodel. Our remodel took quite a bit longer than expected, but this was not Nickelson Construction's fault. In fact, Nickelson did everything possible to make up for the shortcomings of the associated party that was not under the purview of Nickelson. Jason Chavez the project manager was very respectful and timely. He always provided an explanation and assumed responsibility when appropriate. Communication is key during a remodel and Jason was a professional. I would highly recommend Nickelson Construction for any home remodel project.

We chose Nickelson Construction for our 2021 home addition after interviewing and receiving estimates from over a dozen contractors. They weren’t the lowest estimate, but neither were they the highest. They won the job because their estimate was the most transparent and detailed, they were the best at communication, and they were willing to customize against our budget in an honest, thorough manner. From the first estimate, Isaac indicated that his goal was a limited number of change orders through the course of the project so that we stayed on budget. He knows what he’s doing because once all was said and done we only had a total of three minor change orders that were completely because of us as homeowners changing our minds on a feature. Even during a pandemic when labor and supplies were in short supply, the project stayed mostly on schedule and within budget. The quality of the workmanship was above reproach and, in the couple instances we asked for a rework or change, it was done without hesitation and to our satisfaction. We lived in our house with small children through the renovation and here are some highlights that made this possible: Great communication was maintained throughout the project, streamlined through a competent and thorough project manager. A consistent schedule was maintained and our own needs as homeowners were considered. The subcontractors that were brought onsite were professional and courteous. The jobsite was kept tidy and contained. Our furniture and belongings were taken care of respectfully We’ve been living in our addition for a year now so can attest to the completeness of the job and prompt attention to any of our post-construction inquiries. We will absolutely be working with Nickelson Construction again in the future!

My wife and I hired Nickelson Construction to remodel two circa 1980's bathrooms in our home. They did a fantastic job and our bathrooms are now state-of-the-art and beautiful. Nickelson's project manager was a pleasure to work with and I will use Nickelson for our future home remodeling efforts.
