I love Quaker Custom Homes!!! My dad and sister are also going to be building Quaker Homes. We interviewed seven builders. We chose Leon McGlothlin, the owner of Quaker Custom Homes, LLC. What impressed us about him is his years of experience building, the quality of the model home, his hands on approach and he impressed us with being genuine and honest. My Quaker Home will be finished sometime in the next month and a half (depending on weather). Our impressions of Leon were correct. He has a great staff working for him. They are very knowledgeable, patient and willing to make sure that your home is built the way you want it. I know about their patience...................because I have made a few changes along the way!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so thrilled with our home from Quaker Custom Homes! QCH is the epitome of professionalism. Their proficiency of current custom home standards, county regulations, and of the entire home building process is refreshing and reassuring. We loved how adeptly we were guided through building our new home from start to finish and beyond. Contrary to our preconceived notions, we were pleasantly surprised at how little stress was involved. The ability to build on our own lot was very important. QCH not only included us throughout the entire build process, but also allowed us to be heavily involved in every stage while still leading communication and coordination with site work contractors. John, our foreman, specifically deserves special thanks for this. QCH steered us in the right direction, decision after decision. Their small business approach lends to their flexibility and attention to customer service. Their quality and workmanship shine and have been much appreciated! Everyone, including Leon, John, Betty Lou, Debbie, and Winnie were a pleasure to work with. We will be forever thankful to them for our “forever” home and would not recommend anyone else to provide such custom service.

I chose Quaker Custom Homes, LLC based on the quality of the homes they built in the Fairfax County, VA. area. The homes were beautiful with superb quality. After a lot of research, I knew they were the company for me. From start to finish the team made sure that all work was done on time, done correctly, and done with a good attitude. My home is everything I would have expected and more. The office staff was amazing. The owner of the company visited the site to make sure all work was the quality he expected. If I had questions, I just called and the questions were answered quickly. I lived in another state part time but the project manager took the time to face time me if I needed to answer a question. What could have been a stressful time ended up being a pleasure. I have a stunning home. I would not consider using any one but Quaker and would refer them to anyone that wants a perfect home.

Quaker Homes is an awesome builder! They build a beautiful custom home where detail and skilled craftsmanship shine brilliantly. Leon is a devoted quality builder with unequivocal pride in the finished product. Sincere, genuine and more than willing to accommodate even the most difficult and indecisive customer – such as myself, admittedly. Leon's integrity does not waiver. He surrounds himself with a wonderful staff, knowledgable contractors and his superintendent, John, is excellent. We downsized from our previous home and chose Quaker's Colton model to build on our own lot. We habitually altered our plans with the days of the week and Leon was considerate and accepting no matter what the circumstance. Throughout the ever-changing process, both Leon and Debbie acclimated with the utmost patience and understanding, unaffected by our constant requests to deviate from the original plans. They approached our requests to modify as if it were the first discussion of it, gladly reconciling each new idea. We had no concept of the many perplexities which accompany building a home and Leon tutored us through each step. He kindly offered his time and expertise during the engineering of the lot, all the way through to the selection for interior options. He has been amazing, unpretentious, and such a delight to work with. Many times I would change a feature only to change it back again - Leon never raised an eyebrow. He continued to be supportive, always responding with, "Whatever you want to do." When it came to items we wanted to add or eliminate, Leon gladly educated us on the advantages and pointed out the not-so-obvious caveats. He offered perspectives that would never have entered our minds otherwise. Our house was seamlessly designed and redesigned so many times I lost count -- all during a few months. Options were added and changed back a bazillion times over -- Leon never batted and eye – not even during my selection meltdown. Leon, Debbie and John maintained professional poise and willingness while adjusting to our ever-changing desires. They are true professionals, connoisseurs of superb quality and the faces of Quaker Homes. We could not have chosen a more thoughtful and knowledgable builder to see our project through. We're extremely grateful for having the pleasure to work with Quaker Homes to ultimately build our beautiful new home. We cannot thank Leon enough for making it all possible. We enjoyed the entire process and the house is perfect!

We made the unfortunate choice of this builder in 2002. As first time home builders, we didn't know how to look for all the mistakes and cover ups this builder chose to represent their workmanship. We have spent five figures cleaning up their mess and when we are done, we will be in the six figures. The lack of ownership of their work and ambivalence to the finished product is evident throughout our home. We would strongly advise that you choose a builder who is much more invested in perhaps the biggest investment you will make. We deeply regret our decision to retain Leon and his team and if we could do it over again, would definitely not waste time or money with this builder.

Choosing Quaker Custom Homes was the best choice and the most positive experience for my fiancé and I. Susan Sentman is more than the "seller", she is a professional interior design consultant. She strategically sat with us and from floor to ceiling assisted in selecting the right options for our home. The craftsman hardware complimented the interior design and build with it's warm appeal. Susan collaborated with us and carried our ideas and personal design preferences to Leon who communicated with his team to make it happen. John was an outstanding partner as he led the project to it's completion. We have been in our new home for a little over a month now and every day I marvel at the beautiful detailed construction of this beautiful home. I would love to shake Leon's hand one day! Finally, after years of searching, we have come home. We have a lot to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. Many thanks!!

We contracted with Quaker Custom Homes to build our house. Quaker's agent, Diane Moser, was extremely knowledgeable, professional yet very personable. She provided us with tips, helpful advises for our home design, and actually helped us save money on numerous occasions by advising against certain features that we wanted. The home construction was professional done and managed, with good materials used, and the quoted price for the home construction was fixed with no cost overrun (site excavation was entirely another matter, but that part was handled by another contractor in association with Quaker). Overall, we were glad to have selected Quaker Homes.

We are very happy with our custom home (the Preston model) by Quaker, built in 2013 on our lot in Gainesville. We love the special touches Quaker provided such as an open floor plan, custom cased openings to our dining and living rooms, tray ceilings, large master bedroom and bath, and shadow box trim work. Thanks to Leon and his staff who addressed all our needs during the building process and built a quality home for us.

I am a trade partner that works with Quaker Homes for the tile portion of their business. They are focused on presenting the best quality product, at a competitive price point to their customers and go above and beyond to ensure that their selections are detailed and easily understandable. They are receptive to unexpected reselections and pass this information to their customers with a solution ready approach. Over the past year, Debbie and the sales team have worked diligently with me to update selections, pricing, and focus to a team oriented approach to working with customers.

We have been in our new house for three years now and are still as happy as the first day we moved in. The construction stages went very smoothly. Everyone in Quaker were extremely knowledgeable and helpful from beginning to end. The house is not only beautiful but very well built. The size of the rooms are just right. We have noticed how comfortable the temperature is inside, whether summer or winter. It is also very well insulated from outside noise. The light that comes in through the large windows is breathtaking.

Mitre Contracting, Inc. has been very fortunate to be a Quaker Customs Homes sub-contractor for over the last 25 plus years. Having worked with many area builders in the past, I honestly feel the homes that Quaker builds are among the best in the area, and I am proud to have a small part in their building process. Working on a Quaker Homes jobsite is always a breath of fresh air compared to some others we have worked on. The jobsites are organized, cleaner, and their building process is better scheduled, which I believe makes for a better end product. The professionalism and building expertise of the entire staff at Quaker Custom Homes is evidenced by their many years of building solid top quality homes. I am a subcontractor for Quaker Custom Homes. I will say that Quaker Homes builds one of the nicest houses that I have ever worked in. The owner (Leon) is great. They are very professional and put the customer priorities first and foremost. The main thing that I like about the company is that they focus on a quality built home. The superintendants are very knowledgeable and always available to answer any questions or problems that may occur. Their schedules are always accurate and it makes it easy for me to plan my work week. The office staff is friendly and very pleasant to talk to. Debbie Fuller, who I deal with alot on the contracts, is excellent to work with.
