I've had the pleasure of photographing many of R. Lake's projects around Montana. They are beautiful crafted, with a strong attention to the fine details. As an architectural photographer on Maui, Texas, and Montana I've seen the good, bad, and the ugly. Their work is top 5 for sure.

We learned of Ron and Zech Lake( R Lake Construction) through our realtor. We were considering two different pieces of property in a subdivision, uncertain of building costs and which piece of property would best suit our needs. From our first meeting with Ron and Zeck we felt confident that we wanted them to build our house. Although very professional, the thing that struck us most was the friendliness, their confidence, their willingness to work with us to make our dream house real. That very first day, they showed us a house they have recently completed. We were impressed with their workmanship from the ground up. After viewing that house we then visited each of the two lots we were considering to build on, and we're happy to hear their perspective on which would work for us, after which we chose and purchase the lot we most desired. Our next job was to find a house plan. After hours and hours of looking we found a plan that we liked. Ron and Zech made a few changes to the house plan outside to make it fit into the beautiful landscape, and a few changes to adapt to our needs inside. We were in the process of selling our current home, and the sale did not proceed as quickly as we wished. The Lakes were very patient and optimistic, still encouraging us to proceed forward with our plans. When finally we had to green light, things happened very quickly. Even though it was December, there was not a day that went by without progress on our house. Ron and Zech are very hands-on and we were very impressed that they hired as many local contractors that they could, contractors who had worked with them for years. They were very flexible to allow my husband Tim to do whatever work he could do ( as long as he didn't get in the way and impede their progress!) Our building budget stayed within our means, there were minor changes along the way, nothing major. I can't think of anyone else I would hire to build our house, I think we really lucked out. The Lakes bring with them many years of experience, local knowledge and just good people. We did not run out into any major difficulties at all. They operate a wonderful family business, and I feel that we have become friends. Ron and Zech stand behind their work, their product ,and we will strongly (and have) recommend R Lake Constucion to anyone considering any building needs!

RLake Construction did a home renovation for me that included a new living room, laundry and loft office. There work was timely,professional and reasonably priced. I was very pleased and would not hesitate to hire them again.

RLake Construction has my highest respect on the amazing job they did on my project. First with their professional way they handle all their subcontractors. The amazing communication they had and details on everything happening on the job. I cant say enough about the remodel on my now Trenz Salon and Day Spa. Ron and Zech did a fantastic job on our house. It was a difficult job, the house sits close to a significant slope, and I was a thousand miles away the whole time. Great communication, really put my interests first, navigated a tremendously difficult situation with a well, value engineered many components of the project, good communicators, etc. I will continue to use them for additional projects and would recommend them to anyone looking to build a high quality house.

RLake Construction does a fantastic job! We hired them to do a re-model on our 2500 sq ft new store and we could not have worked along side of a better team. This team is honest, easy going, organized, tidy, they work really hard, and really just an absolute pleasure to work with. I would recommend RLake construction to everyone. They give you their bid and that is what they charge you. There is no hidden fees and they do not come back to you with invoices that are 10-20% higher than their bid. Their word is their word. When my wife and I decided to build a multi-million dollar home on our ranch near Ennis MT,we interviewed several established highly recommended buiders. A friend, the founder of the Moonlight Basin Ski resort, highly recommended Ron Lake, who had been in charge of all of Moonlight's construction (Moonlight is truely a first class development.) After observing his work, we chose RLake construction. We were not disappointed. Ron's attention to detail, his demands for a high standard of workmanship and his followup after completion of the house has far exceded our expectations. His relationship with his subcontrators was such that they all praised his organization and timing at the work site so that they were able to complete their functions in the most efficient and timely manner. Ron completed the project on time and on budget. It is impossible to describe and express in this short amount of space the degree of satisfacion we had with Ron's work.
