My work will be remembered for a lifetime through the pictures of every family event, that's what fulfills my passion for my profession. Staying professional and courteous towards owners, their guests and everyone involved with the project maintains a team atmosphere and comradery towards a common goal. We are being invited into someones home on good faith to do a good job and nothing is more rewarding than the homeowner appreciating your work. I still believe in the craftsmanship of old while using new materials and techniques in every project. A quality home starts with the framing staying mindful of creating a sealed building envelope, exceptional fit and finish is only obtained with an attention to detail throughout the building process. All exterior wood needs to be sealed on all six sides which are, two faces, two edges and two butt ends, to prevent water infiltration. I have installed several types of siding mostly cedar shingles and clapboard over a rain-screen of cedar breather or lathe to create a pressure break preventing wind driven rain from entering the building and allowing the siding two dry from both sides. An efficient heating system is only as good as the air tightness and insulation of the building. Differing heating and cooling sources such as radiant , forced air, or passive in conjunction with a variety of insulation, foam, dense-pack cellulose or fiberglass all need to be considered. My knowledge has accumulated over a lifetime career in the industry and attending multiple continuing education courses and building conferences to stay current on building advancements.
