His company, Timphony Construction, built 30 to 40 houses a year and worked on small commercial projects. At the age of 12, I had already poured slabs, built foundations, laid bricks, built winding stairs cases, cut rafters for roofs, just about every type of carpentry work imaginable. I framed and trimmed out a number of houses for my father and other contractors after school, on weekends and summers. I built my first home with no assistance at the age of sixteen on St. Mary St. in Metairie. I understand every aspect of building construction because I have personally done it for many years, but I also have a keen ability in problem solving and management skills, as well as estimating and design. The combination of the two along with a strong work ethic and integrity driving my work is what makes me a great General contractor. I took over my father's construction business until I started G. Timphony Ltd DBA Timphony Construction in 1996. We perform Historical restorations, any type of renovation work, new home building, and commercial projects as well. I have worked for the last 20 years in this business based on referrals and word of mouth with really no advertisement, I didn’t need it. My work is more than a paycheck; it’s the opportunity to wake up each day doing what I love with excellence. It’s the chance to do something good with the knowledge I have. I take the time to provide potential customers with helpful detailed knowledge about their project so they can make the right decisions before they even become my clients. I have on many occasions assisted other contractors, architects, and engineers in finding solutions with design problems. I made a decision long ago to take on fewer projects and worry less about what I was making and more about the experience of the customer and quality of the work my company performed. I personally manage each project from the beginning to the end, providing assistance to the customer and ensuring quality work.
