The houses look pretty. Brick and siding options, depending on your style. Hardwood floors. Tudors and cottages. But admiring a Tower Homes house and owning a Tower Homes house are very different things. Kinda like meeting someone who gives you butterflies! They look handsome and they say all the right things....they promise to be strong during tough times, to shelter you during storms, and to keep you warm on cold winter nights. You're swept off your feet and the next thing you know you're signing the papers and calling the movers! Everything goes great for a while, you snuggle in and think life is perfect. Sure, the dishwasher leaked and warped the kitchen floor and the condenser went out on a 100-degree day in July, but the dishwasher and condenser were covered by the manufacturers' warranties, so it wasn't so bad really. You snuggle back into your perfect life. Then, a little more time passes and everything changes... They don't answer when you want to cry about the water leaking from the PEX tubing and warping the formerly beautiful hardwood floors in your bedroom. You make excuses that perhaps they were too busy, while you write an enormous check to have the damage repaired. But...When winter rains run down your foyer walls from the improperly sealed windows, and through the first-floor ceiling from the poorly constructed dormers, all you can focus on is the damage while listening to Jake tell you that it isn't covered by your homeowner's insurance because it's considered "faulty construction". Then it hits you and you can suddenly see everything so clearly...the handsome person who promised all those wonderful things, and made you feel so warm and fuzzy not so long ago, is just a big fat liar with a nice smile and cool sunglasses. Fool me once, shame on you...there won't be a second time!
