We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Turnstone Custom Homes on the complete remodel of our recently purchased beach house. Turnstone originally built the home 11 years ago, so when we decided to transform it into a fresh, contemporary coastal retreat, they were the only company we wanted to trust with the project—and they exceeded every expectation. They treated our home as if it were their own and consistently went above and beyond. One of the most impressive aspects of the entire experience was the project was completed on time and within budget—something that is increasingly rare with a major renovation. We'd been wanting to renovate our beach condo for years but kept running into contractors who weren't interested in a project this small. Turnstone took it on without hesitation. It's about 750 square feet with beautiful ocean views, and they did a complete gut renovation that finally lets us enjoy the space. They converted the unconditioned front porch into year-round living area, installed modern appliances, new HVAC, and updated plumbing, and added a retractable sliding door that opens the entire room to the view. Morgan Garms, our project manager, was terrific throughout, Jason the superintendent kept everything moving, and Lisa the selections coordinator guided us through every choice. Erik & Erin designed our place & made our little condo feel much bigger. It is better than we ever dreamed it could be. We absolutely love it and loved the whole team. We couldn't be happier.

We used Turnstone for our home renovation in Bethany Beach - a down to the studs renovation. Morgan Garms was our project manager and we could not have been happier. The whole process, from initial planning to construction to working with outside designers, was handled with the highest customer service. The whole Turnstone team was there to provide guidance and recommendations, giving us access to their extensive experience. Turnstone consistently acted in our best interest and provided an attention to detail knowing that the final product was a reflection of their work and customer service. We recently had our entire beach home renovated, including new flooring, bathrooms, and a kitchen overhaul, and we couldn’t be more impressed with the results. The team at Turnstone Custom Homes did an absolutely outstanding job. From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth, well-organized, and genuinely stress-free. One aspect that really set Turnstone apart was the sharing of their project management software with us. They gave us full access to the platform, which was intuitive and easy to use. It provided complete transparency into the process—timelines, progress updates, selections, and communication were all in one place. We always knew exactly where things stood, which made a complex renovation feel far more manageable. A special shout-out to Mike C., our project manager, who was nothing short of stellar. We are so thrilled with our new home! This is our first experience building a custom home, and from our very first meeting with Harvey to the finished product, it has been a distinct pleasure to work with Turnstone Custom Homes. Erik took our rough concept and designed the perfect home for us - and on a very narrow lot with plenty of restrictions. Lisa was a very patient and calm guide as we faced the daunting task of design selections. And the project management team led by Morgan and his skilled colleages, Jason and Mike, are true professionals who care about the details and the product they turn out. The entire Turnstone team is extremely knowledgeable, very responsive, professional, courteous and friendly. They were excellent at managing costs and completed our home on time (maybe even a little early) and under budget. We’re almost sorry that the construction is finished because we miss them! Turnstone helped us navigate a devastating loss to our new home. Our Rehoboth home suffered severe water damage late January of 2025. As the original builders, we ‘turned’ to Turnstone for the rebuild. Once the contract was signed, the process could not have been easier. Our primary home is over 2 hours away. We visited two-three times during the rebuild. Really only one visit for insurance & another to select finishes for our home. (third was purely optional) As with most families, life is very busy. We did not have bandwidth to manage this huge project. Turnstone- specifically our project manager Noah and on site person Ronnie were wonderful. Erin initially walked is through expectations, etc. All three we appreciated working with directly. We are very pleased with the team’s work and outcome. Turnstone started construction in June of 2025 & our home was complete in Sept. Seamless execution- house looks amazing. We are really happy we went with the Turnstone team. The quality of their work is excellent.

We’ve lived in this custom home for aprox 13 years. During this time, we refreshed & updated it accordingly to our liking/use. The elephant in the room, however, was a very dated, very large master-bath that would require a complete gut job. Picture 'Las Vegas meets the Poconos'. Orange stone—Steps to a second level—The expense—The time—Finding the craftsmen and talent—Finding the vision!! No wonder we put it off time and again. We invited Turnstone Custom Homes to come see our project and hear about our vision for a luxury, spa-like bathroom that would be one level and fresh! It was time to pull the trigger. We wanted a high-end timeless look that’d provide great storage/utility. We also DID NOT want a project that was going to be done in dribs and drabs over an extended period of time. We received a layout with all measurements and details of the room spelled out and we knew we would need some handholding. We met their contractors onsite to discuss project and complete their preliminary inspections. Turnstone Custom Homes (Rehoboth) was a real pro in all aspects of the project. Contracts/budget, co-construct software with photos, cleanup nightly, protection of property before, during and after, excellent communication, oversight, etc. Owner, Harvey Ryan, came by on occasion to check on project status while Julie Clark, our project manager, was here often! She's a real gem and she was the gatekeeper for all that occurred. Lisa was a pro at procuring materials needed. Lucio and Andres of Delta Construction (and their team!!) were fabulous to work with in numerous aspects of this project; Nick/Sammy of Crest Plumbing & Htg. were easy to approach to ask questions and receive answers all things related to plumbing; Jerry of Elegant Design that steered us through water pressure and aesthetics, Arctec HVAC out of Bridgeville was adept at bringing more warmth/AC; Matt Miller of K & M Electric was super creative in providing us with a vision of beauty and safety, Sig Rogalia, our master tile guy was phenomenal and knowledgable all things related to beauty, zero gravity walk-in showers and heated floors (our tiles are 24x24” & 24x48”) so it was not an easy job; Yvonne of Tile Market worked closely w/ us, Sig and Julie and truly had the ability to get us what we needed and then some; (Sig and Yvonne, we know the heated floors will be glorious this fall!); the built-in storage units and custom vanity and floating shelves and hardware are just gorgeous and it's the desired look that we wanted - so thankful to Nicole and her relationships within American Cedar & Millwork and her coordinating with Rob Scully @ Coastal Stone Group for our counter tops, drop in sinks/backsplash. It really takes a village to get it all together and many of these contractors work regularly together so I'd say we were blessed to have this group of PROS with Turnstone Custom Homes leading the way. We recently completed our custom home in Dewey Beach, Delaware with Turnstone Custom Homes, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, the team impressed us with their professionalism and dedication. Mike, our project manager, and Don, our superintendent, were an exceptional team—responsive, knowledgeable, and a true pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident every step of the way. Turnstone’s in-house design team crafted a truly unique and striking exterior façade that has been getting rave reviews from neighbors and passersby alike. It's a one-of-a-kind look that sets our home apart and perfectly captures the coastal vibe we were hoping for. We used a third-party designer, Erin Marshall, to help bring our vision to life, and she was fantastic. But having a third-party involved increases communication challenges. A further potential issue was that we were rarely in the area during the construction. Turnstone’s construction management system worked flawlessly to keep us, our designer and Turnstone’ s team aligned throughout the process. While there were a few permitting delays at the start—as is common in the area—once construction began, the build moved very quickly. In fact, the project was completed faster than we thought possible considering the permitting delays, without sacrificing quality. We would not hesitate to recommend Turnstone to anyone looking to build a custom home at the Delaware beaches. Turnstone has done an excellent job renovating my beach home. A complete exterior renovation requires dozens of decisions and inevitably involves adjustments and corrections. Turnstone was not only a pleasure to work with because of their professionalism but also because of their determination to resolve unforeseen issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Much of the credit goes to the GC (Noah) and his deputy (Ronnie) on the ground on a daily basis.

Building a custom home is a bit daunting, especially when you haven’t done anything similar previously, and aren’t sure exactly what you want. The Turnstone team is top-notch; Julie, Erik, Lisa, Kat, Mike and Don were instrumental in designing and constructing my dream home. They made the project much less stressful than it would have been otherwise, and helped guide me through all of the necessary decisions. When asked for alternate ideas on the existing design or for additional options that weren’t part of the original design, they promptly provided options and associated costs to make the decision process easier. Not only Turnstone, but many of the third-party partners also went above and beyond. (Yvonne at The Tile Market of Delaware). Turnstone delivered a quality product and on time. If I were to ever build again, I would happily use Turnstone, again.
