The Builder... As President of United Developers Inc., Jim Leslie has over forty years of experience in real estate and construction. Mr. Leslie worked his way through college as a carpenter and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate and Finance from Samford University in l968. Upon graduation, Mr. Leslie became the Superintendent of Operations for a major residential builder in the Mountain Brook, Homewood and Hoover areas in Birmingham, Alabama before forming his own company. During the l980's Mr. Leslie was a Real Estate Banker in the West for two major national banks. He won numerous Gold Nugget Awards for developing quality, attractively planned communities in Southern California, Las Vegas, Nevada and Southern Arizona. He returned to Birmingham in the early l990's to establish his own residential home-building and has been involved in building homes and developing sub-divisions in Homewood, Mountain Brook, Greystone, Heatherwood, Chelsea, Vestavia, Columbiana, Pelham and Eagle Point. He has also built several lake homes and country ranch homes. Jim Leslie is a licensed contractor and former real estate agent in the State of Alabama.He is also a member of the Birmingham Homebuilders Association and a "Life-Spike"successfully recruiting over 25 members into the National Homebuilders Association. Mr. Leslie's constant attention to quality and craftsmanship has earned him the reputation of a builder who is "on the job." He is never "out of touch" with the homeowner and always returns his calls promptly. He personally supervises every detail of the plans and specifications from beginning to end and takes great pride in building a well constructed and attractive home.
