My fireplace was an ugly exposed brick with no mantel or shelf. I had tried painting the brick an off-white but still did not like it. Justus Havenga was recommended to me so I called him and asked for an estimate. I asked about either putting wood or wallboard over the brick, but due to the bar cabinet and countertop to one side of the fireplace, that was not an option. However, Justus indicated that he could do a thin scimcoat similar to plaster over the brick. I had also found a picture of a mantel that I really liked on Houzz and showed him the picture. He indicated that he could fabricate the mantel at his workshop and then install it. What a beautiful job he did!!!! The mantel looks exactly like the picture I found on Houzz and the "plaster" covering was exactly what I was looking for. He even painted the "plaster" which I was not expecting.
Justus also did a couple of other small projects while he was here and we were extremely happy with those also!
His pricing was extremely reasonable.
