Fini Design

I have hired Fini Design a few times and have always been pleased and surprised at how much I enjoyed the process. Jean is knowledgeable without being condescending; she listens and does not try to impose her taste, though she does offer alternatives if you request them. She knows about color and light and how each is affected by the other and she has a good inner eye, i.e., she can see a room, or wall, or window as it will look. That is really helpful to people like me who have not ability to visualize what is not there.

Jean and her team do a phenomenal job in coaching homeowners on how to maximize their home's appeal to Buyer's by simply utilizing what is already in their home. She finds the "small things" that make a huge difference. She is also extremely talented at supplemental or full staging as needed. Fini Design is a huge asset to Home Sellers and Realtors alike.

I used Fini Design to help me stage my older house for sale. Jean is brilliant and delightful. In designing the new kitchen for resale, she saved me thousands of dollars by preventing me from investing in costly bells and whistles that wouldn't be returned when the house sold. She also saved me from a huge design mistake made by the Big Box Store I'd initially consulted. The total kitchen project came in 40% less. For the rest of the house, she incorporated my humble furniture into the layout and made it look rich and luxurious. The raves on the layout and spaciousness in this older home is astounding. It's only been on the market a week and already I have two potential buyers. I expect an offer or two any day! I'm already using Jean's personable and competent expertise in setting up my new home.

Jean is very good at design. She intuitively sees the whole "picture", the final result. She instantly knows the proper sizing for what should go into the room and how it should be placed for optimum appeal. She is very easy to work with and loves her work. She is very reasonable as well.

When we decided to sell our 1970's ranch style home we employed Fini Design (Jean Dineen) to advise on what improvements would best benefit us as well as a buyer. It could have been overwhelming, but Jean helped with the very difficult process of deciding what to do. We decided to repaint the entire interior, remodel two full bathrooms, change carpet in the bedrooms and basement, tile the foyer, and replace lighting fixtures throughout the home. She helped us with detailed decisions on choices of faucets, tiles, paint colors, and carpets. She offered to provide workers to install these choices as well as worked with the tradesmen with whom we contracted separately. There were lots of unforeseen issues which came up in this process for which Jean took the lead in solving. My wife commented that without Jean, she might have decided that this project was too much for her. Jean was professional and worth every penny and without question we would recommend her for staging your home for sale or doing a major remodeling project.
