I hired Simplicity Design Services (Darlene and Jason) to stage my house and I couldn't be happier. I am not their typical client and they knew I had a tight ROI so they really tailored their advice and estimate around my needs. They really provided me with a package that was the best bang for the buck and ROI. I really felt that they listened to me and delivered an amazing service for my unique needs. Everything that they recommended that I do (minor stuff) painting a few rooms, to grout, to general cleanup was spot on. The staging and furniture choices were perfect and they were a lot of fun to work with. The furniture company they used were extremely professional and everything was in great condition. So all of the above is great but how do I know hiring them really helped me. Well here is where I know that choosing them paid off BIG TIME. The day before listing Jason asked me what I was going to list for. I told him and he said I think you should add another 10k. I was reluctant because I knew the market, my realtors are the best in the area and told me I was at the upper end of the search range and I wanted to price it to sell. I took his advice and my house sold in 8 days, with 1 full list offer and another for 10k over list. No open houses, only 8 days being on the market so not a lot of disruption for my family AND because of their advice and guidance I recouped the money I paid them + more. Reason 2 that I know I made the right choice. A house on my street, same model, year built, superior house because of new kitchen, 1 extra bedroom and superior location was on the market for 60k more. That house was not staged. They took 90+ days to sell and sold for the exact same price as mine, even though it was a superior house and should have commanded AT LEAST 40-50k more. Not only are they extremely creative in their approach but they go above and beyond as they also build custom pieces where they see fit.
