I have been working for a general contractor for the last year and a half. I have always had a passion for interior design, and working with homeowners along side their remodels began to unfold as something that I was very good at. In the beginning of 2020 I was able to go into a run down and very ugly trailer and I was told to just make it look half way decent so it could be rented out to a regular tenant. What started as me just staging it, turned into me decorating the entire place after I listed it on AIR BnB. I had people booking the place solid for 3 months straight. The property is now making $7,000 a month and it was because of the space being decorated the way that it is. I was then asked to decorate and help with many more properties after that. I was able to manage furnishing the entire trailer with everything guests could need, including a hot tub, on a very low budget. I am very good at decorating on a range of budgets. I am always conscious of the items I select, more than just the cost, being items that make a space feel personal and special. When someone invites me into their space to make it feel the way that they want it to, I ensure that I do it to the highest degree of specification and individual needs. No individual is created the same as another, so I believe that creating someone's space should always be as unique as they are. One of the many benefits of the way that I design or decorate, is that I have the construction background to understand products, layouts, what will be manageable and what ways to make big impacts with less cost. If a general contractor would be needed to consult with, I have that too. I also do a lot of the painting for projects, which means I would be able to remove the cost and need to hire a separate person.
