Hi! Its me, Kaylie! I do not have a traditional design background – I have a business and marketing degree from St. Edwards University in Austin, TX. I am originally from Corpus Christi, TX, Spent 10 years in Austin, TX, 1 year in New York City working in Fashion PR, and 3 years in Dallas, TX working in design (where I took on design as a career instead of just a hobby) —I am now back and forth between Dallas and Austin. I came into the industry through a passion and love for design- started with my dad and our mutual love for remodeling and furnishing homes- something we enjoyed doing together in Corpus Christi, Texas. After he passed away I took a leap of faith began successfully flipping houses in Dallas, TX. Along the way, I met an incredible team of people at CPG Development where I worked under an extremely talented and long-standing designer, Candy Munster. This is was where a lot of growth and development happened. In 2018 I founded KJ Lucas Design and began to work on independent projects alongside my work with CPG and now here I am- working in both Dallas and Austin. My Goal: To make your space a space that feels like home and is not only beautiful but comfortable and functional.
