Tabby was used by early Spanish settlers in present-day North Carolina and Florida, then by English colonists primarily in coastal South Carolina and Georgia.Through out the Southeast, Tabby ruins are significant as an example of early- to mid-19th century tabby construction. Tabby is a type of concrete made by burning oyster shells to create lime, then mixing it with water, sand, ash and broken oyster shells. With a few modifications, we have create the same process and look for exterior and interior applications such as fireplaces, mantels, and wall finishes. creative + unique + rare
