Bella Designs

Mel began her training as a business owner, retailer, and design principal at various design studios prior to establishing her business, Bella Designs in April of 2010. She has built her reputation on creating timeless, classic interiors complemented with southern elegance. Beautifully unique Floral and Holiday Designs have been featured in local magazines and on ABC 30/40's "Talk of Alabama". She believes in the power of great design and has a passion for the sophisticated, the delightfully unexpected, and making the old new again. Mel is continually inspired by her travels. She consistently pays close attention to detail, patterns, colors, and architecture. She encourages her clients to decorate with items they have returned home with them from their travels. It's a nice way for us to reflect on happy times. A home means different things to different people. It is because of this, before she begins a design project, she likes to get to know her clients. This includes understanding how they live, their lifestyle, their children, and pets. It is then that she can define and achieve goals for her clients’ homes.
