Moving out of state away from family and friends, making decorating decisions by myself was overwhelming. Meeting Trudy was a life saver. Her professionalism and expertise in decorating resulted in a beautiful, flowing connection between my kitchen, dining room and living room.

She is a great Interior Designer with a lot knowledge and diversity. She listens to her clients in finding out what their needs are and style that they want to achieve. I highly recommend her.

We have worked with Bluecopper Interior Design for over a year as we designed and built our new home on a tidal salt marsh. We are extremely pleased with the results. Bluecopper Interior Design: 1) Was attuned to the decorating opportunities that our homesite provided. 2) Listened to, learned and respected our preferences. We could be ourselves but their excellent advice kept us "between the lines" so that we didn't drive off the road and do something ridiculous (something we're wont to do). We felt that we were more than clients...we were a team; a partnership. 3) Has a color sense and understanding that cannot be equaled in our opinion. 4) Has a great eye for fabric patterns and textures. 5) Has excellent rapport with local furniture, fixture and furnishings providers.

My situation was to decorate a 5000+ square foot house using primarily the furniture from my current house in another city. Trudy was the perfect match for my project. She came to my house in Columbia to measure and take pictures of my available furniture and made recommendations about how to best use those items in my new home at Isle of Palms. We managed to use almost everything, with minimal expenditures on reupholstering, etc. She was also able to help me choose bedding items that complemented the existing paint/wallpaper/window treatments. Another area where she excels is placing items on bookshelves and recommending (and hanging) wall art. Trudy was a pleasure to work with and very flexible. In my opinion, her design fee is on the lower end of the spectrum, but is worth every penny and more. I would not hesitate to recommend Trudy and Blue Copper Interiors.

Trudy was a great interior designer. She worked with what I had and helped me arrange it in different ways to best highlight my house. She was very good with size dimension. She pointed out I had pictures on the wall that were too small for the wall. When she put the right size picture on the right size wall it really made a difference and looked nicer. I liked that she worked with what I had and didn't want to throw it all away and start from scratch. I would recommend her to a friend.

I have worked with Trudy Brown on several occasions. She has advised me on purchases in furniture and art for my condo in Charlotte, NC. All of her suggestions have greatly improved the appearance of my place. She has the ability to adapt to other people's ideas and sense of style. I would definitely use her again.
