Having to decide that I needed a designer came down to two simple things. Coming to the realization that I am not an expert in design, and I pretty much depend on experts to do my taxes, dentistry, car repair and so on. So why should this be any different? The second thing is that if I choose wisely and (love it) it will likely save me money not having to buy things twice because I didn't pick wisely the first time. Christine Coder has exceeded our expectation in her helping us choose just the right pieces and colors for our newly remodeled space. Christine is so easy to work with and asks all the right questions to get you the space you dream of! We were combining a number of styles and looks, and she was able to make them all come together beautifully. She has an amazing knack for understanding what you're looking for, nudges you in a few different directions and gives wonderful suggestions. The result is a space that feels like its your own, and you immediately feel comfortable in it. What more could one ask for in a designer?! Meeting and hiring Christine is 100% the best thing that happened for our huge renovation project and I shudder to think what things would look like without her gentle creativity. Christine took our ideas and made them just that little bit better. It was really fun to work with someone so enthusiastic and talented!

Christine has beautiful taste and amazing patience. Ours is an open floor plan on the main floor. She helped us make a calm, coherent space. She understood the feel and polished aesthetic we were hoping to achieve. From that she found dramatic yet understated fabric to serve as the organizing theme for furniture, ordered furniture pieces, commissioned a dining room table, consulted on paint colors for cabinets, kept me from going off the rails with my errant ideas, etc. She continues to work with us on an on-going basis--we are currently selecting new carpet. In addition to her professional skills, Christine laughs easily and is delightful to be around.

Christine helped us with our new construction pretty much through the whole year of 2022. We found her after working with another designer for a while who didn't work out. Christine was able to jump in and guide us through many difficult decisions, sometimes on very short notice. She's a great listener and has the knack of navigating us through many disagreements between me and my husband and helping us come up with solutions that we're both happy with. She understood our vision, and instead of just doing all the work and come up with her design, she involved us every step of the way and encouraged us to come up with our own design ideas. I feel like I learned a lot about interior design this last year from Christine, something I knew nothing about before this project. She's very responsive and efficient, and most of all a genuinely nice and caring person. Thank you for all your help in creating our new home!

Wow, where do we begin? Christine was the 3rd designer we contacted and from the first meeting, we knew we'd found someone who "got it", she knew what we wanted to do. Her vision was spot on with what we thought we wanted, and she was able to take it to an even higher level. Our goal was to allow us to "Age in Place" / Universal Design...she got that. We wanted the remodel to be as organic as possible- she got that as well. We discussed what we liked, what we didn't like, how we work in the kitchen, how we love live edge wood and natural products... the list goes on. She helped us select our contractor (that was a huge undertaking and CB Premier was amazing). She was there when we needed her but if we wanted to "do it on our own" she was fine with that as well. She's a rarity among designer in that it's not her way or the highway, she was forever reminding us that it's our house, we need to ultimately make the decisions. Her billing is easy to understand and I'll say that even though we knew we would need a designer to get us where we wanted to go, we weren't at all sure if we'd feel it was worth the expense...it definitely was! After 8 months, we have a house that is nothing short of WOW and while it was definitely a team effort, Christine got the ball rolling, kept us on track, and took our ugly 1978 1.5 story house to a dream home that is somewhere between mid-century modern and contemporary with an Asian twist! Christine is more than a designer! She helped transform our 1977 house into an amazing piece of modern architecture. She was there by our side to help choose a contractor and has worked her magic with every step of the process. The crew loves her as much as we do. They respect her knowledge and her suggestions. I managed a full living room, kitchen and lighting and other areas of my house reno with huge support from Christine. She met with me to review my ideas, choices and maintain the feel I was after for the space. She is so visual and knowledgeable about so many details that can really make a space absolutely flow and be oh so perfect. She saved me from making very costly mistakes and guided me to make choices that were so exquisite. I come home now and feel so giddy and delighted with all that we did. What I appreciated most about Christine is how skillfullly she drew our best taste forward, so that very soon we were making exquisite choices for our home. I didn't want a house that reflected someone else's tastes. When our home was complete, it felt like OURS and it felt like HOME, because that was how she created it. I was impressed by how flexible Christine is, it's not like she has one model that she follows, she has a huge range and is highly adaptable in enhancing our style. Christine has a very soothing presence and though our move was a bit stressful, spending the day with Christine was just pure fun and joy. Lastly, she worked with both my Fiancé and I in a way that had both of us feel heard and included. In 2015 we hired Christine to help us with the interior design aspect of the whole home renovation which we undertook on our 1922 sq foot half duplex. The entire home was gutted and re-built and the bottom floor had rooms added and moved, a bathroom re-located and a powder room added. Christine's help was invaluable and helped us move forward with a multitude of decisions with confidence. Christine was such a joy to work with and provided tremendous value in the process. Christine is both a delightful person and an amazing designer. She has amazing vision and very strong ability for seeing how the lines, scale and colour will impact the design. Christine is also a really great listener and was very patient in guiding us through the inevitable stressful moments that can come up during a renovation. Through 4 years and 3 renovations, Christine has been a joy to work with. She mediated during pricing difficulties achieving workable levels and inspected craftsmanship for quality control.
