Gray Oak Studio

I hired Gray Oak Studio to help finish off my dining room and living room. They were quick and efficient and delivered their project on time and with great taste! Everything they selected was spot on and helped make my rooms look so much better. I highly recommend them!

It is a pleasure to write this review and recommend Gray Oak Studio. When we first met with Sonia and Leah it was clear that their goal was to get “on our planet” and understand what our collective goals were. My husband and I have a lot of common goals for our home - we like things to be minimal, modern, fresh, comfortable, and peaceful. But we also diverge in our gut reaction to furniture and art. It was so critical to have a third party help us get our ideas on the table. Sonia and Leah used a thorough and iterative method to get a sense of our design aesthetic. By the time they presented the concepts for each of our rooms, they really understood our needs. This was a big project - we moved into a beautiful open plan newer construction from a smaller more traditional Cape and virtually none of our furniture fit the space. We needed finished, functional, kid-friendly spaces and both the big ticket pieces and every detail handled (think window treatments and bathroom mirrors/rugs). Sonia and Leah were communicative and up front about the realities of the process - particularly given this was during the pandemic when supply chains were disrupted and timelines unknown. Despite this, they brought in a great and reliable team to repaint rooms, hang lights and art, retile floors and transform a fireplace. We celebrated the small wins as we progressed through the project. In the end, they have left us with a modern/coastal space that is classy and neutral yet comfortable and approachable. It incorporates white furniture but keeping our toddler in mind, they made sure the upholstery was performance fabric and the rugs were easy to clean, particularly in high traffic areas. We are thrilled with the finished product and enjoy spending time/using our thoughtfully designed mud room, foyer, great room, play room, powder room, fireplace, main bed and bath, and office guest room. We highly recommend and thank the team at Gray Oak for a job well done.

We’re delighted to recommend Gray Oak Studio. We hired Leah and Sonia to help us with a large kitchen renovation and a dining room makeover. Of course, once you get going it’s hard to stop – we enjoyed working with them so much that we also asked them to refresh some adjacent rooms that were impacted by the renovation. We were THRILLED with the results. From the beginning, Gray Oak listened and understood our goals and ideas. We found them professional and transparent in terms of the design process, budget, etc. which enabled us to establish trust. Trust is KEY when someone is creating a personal space for you and your family! I knew what I liked and didn’t like, but I needed help getting there and narrowing down my options. We had to work with our architect through several iterations of our kitchen layout, and Gray Oak (thankfully) worked directly with her to nail down the specifics. Once we got into the design, Leah and Sonia were flexible and adjusted to our requests/thoughts as we were picking out furnishings and colors. They truly sought to create a personalized space that resonated with my style and taste. It felt like a great partnership - their communication was excellent, and they responded to questions quickly. I knew what to expect, but to see it come to life was special. We were so pleased with our experience, and LOVE the new spaces in our home. We had an excellent experience overall and recommend them enthusiastically!

After completing a large renovation to our home- we needed help with decisions and the finishing touches such as accessories, book shelves, furniture, rugs, and window treatments etc. They did a fantastic job tying in our living areas., we love our new space! I spoke to a few designers, and I really enjoyed Leah and Sonia's energy, approach and style.

I hired Gray Oak Studio to design my living and dining area. Leah, Sonia and Michelle understood exactly what I wanted (neutral with pops of color, minimize clutter, maximize storage) and have created a beautiful space, despite quirks in my apartment (off-center room, radiant heat in the ceiling). They have made my apartment look so warm and inviting - it looks like it could be in a catalog. Their selection of furniture and accessories was spot on - perfectly proportioned for my apartment. I second one of the other reviewers - they selected items that I would never have sought out on my own and their use of color and texture makes the whole space pop. My apartment finally feels like a home and it's been wonderful to walk into this lovely space every day! They were very communicative and highly responsive during the entire design process, gently persuaded me to trust them during my periods of nervousness, stayed within the planned budget and completed the work in a timely manner. They were wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend this team!

I could not speak more highly of my experience with Gray Oak Studio. Not only were they highly professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with, but they completely transformed a tiny, old laundry room into a gorgeous dream bedroom for my daughter. Gray Oak Studio is the best team to work with. They helped me choose a soft gray paint color that works from my entry foyer through the living room, dining room and sun room. It's light enough to keep the entry bright, but softens into a warm grey in the evening. And they suggested a beige for my kitchen and home office that lets me mix and match from room to room and gives my whole house a coordinated look. Thanks Leah, Sonia and Michelle for all your help.

I highly recommend Gray Oak Studio. From start to finish I was impressed by their professionalism, creativity, and talent. Sonia, Leah, and Michele were personable and fun to work with. They helped transform a small, cluttered room into an incredibly usable and beautiful work space for our daughter. Their use of color and texture exceeded my expectations. They had a clear sense of our daughter's style and were able to match that style with what we wanted out of the space. The project was completed about 8 months ago and we still have a sense of awe every time we walk into the room! We will definitely be reaching out to Gray Oak again in the future!

Working with Michele, Sonia & Leah was the best design decision I've made. They transformed my kitchen/dining room space to an area that really works for our family. They listened to what I was looking for, worked with my budget and created an amazing room with items I would have never picked out on my own (especially the floor mirror, round table and light fixtures - I'm in love with everything!). Every time I walk into the kitchen I'm amazed at how beautiful it looks. Each designer brings their unique style to the table and they work wonderful together - it's evident they love what they do and shows in their work. I can't wait to see what they do in our next project!
