My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Random Hive was started by David & Kristen. After several years of wonderful design projects, David has decided to retire. The name has now changed to K.Co Interiors and is run by Kristen. Kristen and David were attentive and curious about our needs as well as our personal style right from the start. We knew they had picked up on our aesthetic and also the way we use various rooms in our house, because a vast majority of the pieces in their design plan were perfect for us. And when we asked for alternatives on the rest, there was no ego or negotiation involved -- they simply returned with plenty of new ideas, ready to go. Random Hive works the way you want your design team to work. They love what they do and they know where to look for those unique pieces that do what you've wanted only better than you expected.

My wife and I hired Random Hive through a referral that spoke very highly of the company and their expertise and how easy they are to work with. We did a major remodel on our home and needed advise on how to decorate it. Kristen visited our home and asked questions and took the time to get to know us and what our thoughts were. She took measurements and pictures and said she would do some research. With in a few days she asked if we could take an afternoon to visit some places with her. We went to a factory showroom and picked out the style of furniture and fabric and colors. She made recommendations on size, height, and materials to use in the furniture. Kristen followed through with every aspect of what she said she would do and even reviewed the furniture before it was delivered. She is very talented and listens to what you have to say and comes up with options that you would not think of. It was a pleasure working with Random Hive and Kristen. We will use the company again and highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with Random Hive. When we started I had an idea of what I wanted my place to look like, but did not know how to get there. Kristen listened and gave constructive feedback. Right off the bat she let me know she could and would work within my budget. I already had a couple of furniture pieces I liked, then Kristen ran with the design and turned my fuzzy dream into a great reality. What I appreciated was that Kristen didn't give me twenty options on everything. She understood what I liked and gave me a few of the best options, which saved a tremendous amount of time. Ultimately, money was well spent, time was not wasted and the end result exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Kristen and Random Hive to anyone looking to turn their space into a cool home.

Random Hive helped me solve a seating challenge for my family room. RH measured and assessed the room and listened to how we wanted to 'live' in the room. Kristen helped us pick out the perfect sofa, chair and Ottoman giving us design, fit and comfort tips. The process of picking out every detail for custom furniture is daunting , but with Kristen it was easy. Because she listened to our needs and understood our design aesthetics, she guided us through the elimination process making the final selection of fabric and color easy. We have been "living" with the furniture for 2 months and it is perfect! We are thrilled with the size, color and materials she helped us chose. Goes very well, as expected, with our decor, and the pieces are as pretty and comfortable as they are functional. I highly recommend Random Hive.

I hired Random Hive after seeing a beautiful living room they designed for a friend of mine. We started with a small project in my second bedroom/office. My first meeting was with Kristen Collins who, simply put, is a treasure. She was able to hone in on my style and within a few days had sourced the entire room. I can be quite an indecisive person, but Kristen made it a snap. The room is now done and I just love it. Halfway into the project I knew I wanted to work together on my whole condo. Which we're now doing! I've always dreamt of working with a designer, but just assumed the cost would be out of reach. What I've discovered from working with Kristen and Random Hive is that the right team can actually save you money. They know the business and a good deal when they see one. Plus they have relationships with everyone from flooring companies to indie artists and always get the best price. If you've ever imagined hiring your own personal team to uncover your vision and bring it to life. Do it! Hire Random Hive :)
