Sara Shalls

We've completed several jobs with Sara and they've all turned out magnificently well. She has a real talent for creating spaces, from color, layout, texture, all of it. Being able to bring all these different aspects together, all the trades and products, to bring the initial design into reality takes much skill and resourcefulness. She does a great job with this, and as a professional it is so nice to work with someone who actually has a handle on it all and does it with ease. We look forward to completing many more projects together!

We have worked with Sara in a professional capacity, as an installer of clay walls in homes she is designing for, as well as hiring her to guide us through our personal remodel. Her sense of style is amazing, but more amazing is her ability to completely meet the style of any client she is working with. I have walked into her office at least 15 times this year and seen her layouts for client presentations. I am always surprised by how different the style of each presentation is based on that one's preferences, but each one just as beautiful as the next. Everyone on her team has great personalities and incredible response time. I have been very impressed!

From the start to finish in the design of a home, Sara really "gets it". Lighting can make or break a Designer's scheme. Sara makes sure the lighting isn't just beautiful but luminescent enough for the applications.

Hiring Shalls Design Studio was the best decision I made when building our new custom home. Sarah was recommended to us by our builder and I was so thankful to have her guidance along the way. I was initially worried about bringing on someone who might not know or understand my taste, but Sarah caught onto the vision immediately and was able to see the final product as I did right from the beginning. She knew right away that I had already decided what things should look like, but had no clue how to proceed. She took the time to listen, ask questions and then make recommendations that fit the vision perfectly. She also realized that I was a bit of a chicken to make the final choices because my finishes were so dark and bold. Sarah guided me easily and without pressure to get things just right, and helped add lighter touches where needed. The end result is beautiful and I am so grateful to her for that!

I was introduced to Sara Shalls by my builder who specializes in high-end, custom home construction and remodeling. The 4-month project includes the complete remodeling of the interior of my home with new hardwood floor, carpet, new baths and tiles, new larger kitchen with new appliances, lights and the re-stuccoing of the outside. Sara helped re-designing of the living room, kitchen and baths, selecting materials, lights, and advising on budget. Throughout the project, Sara was always available at the site to provide guidance, expertise to the on-site construction supervisor and his team. Not only the project was completed very nicely within the time and budgets it amazed all my friends and neighbors who came by to visit. Sara is a wonderful designer with extensive professional knowledge and an absolutely pleasant person to work with. She brings professionalism, knowledge, positive attitude and personality with her. She is very organized, timely, thorough and has superb ability to match colors, textures, materials and brings them to a final quality product. So thank you, Sara for a great, great job.
