Roberto Vadivia was highly recommended to us through a friend who used his company, Six Element Design, for a kitchen renovation in her home. We had major renovations done to our home which included the removal of two walls to make an open concept design on our main floor. We had new kitchen cupboards, new appliances, new flooring throughout the main floor, new tile installed in the foyer, new stairs and railings installed, new lighting, fireplace and mantel, built in bookcases, entry doors and garage doors installed. The majority of the work was done while we were away from the home. Roberto oversaw the entire project from start to finish from concept, planning, design and installation, quality control and follow up. He treated our place as if it was his own. Roberto used his resources to get us plugged in to material selections and accompanied us through the purchase process providing his design expertise and experience along the way. We were thrilled with the end result.

Roberto helped us stage our home for market. He went over each room as well as the outside and gave us ideas on how to best prepare our home to sell. .He is very knowledgeable and knows what home buyers are looking for.. We went shopping together to buy some esstionals for staging then he supplied and delivered to our home additional items required He is very professional and pays special attention to small details that when combined results in the desired “ wow” factor one is trying ti achieve. You have great vision Roberto when it comes to designing. Roberto is a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend Six Element Design.

The first thing that makes Roberto unique is that he is a designer and a contractor, a rare combination. He can offer just his design expertise or both. You are crazy not to have him do both. His understanding of how things are put together, work together and are constructed is invaluable. He does a really good job on discovery and understands what you are trying to achieve, but then can take it from there and push you out of your comfort zone and make choices that you wouldn't make but look amazing. Secondly, his understanding of how lighting works really spoke to me as most electricians can light areas but many don't really know how to do lighting design. This is just as important as which cupboards to choose. Thirdly, his ability to work with and co-ordinate trades is excellent. He catches things and asks for things that we would never have thought to ask. He really represents us. Fourth, if you are a busy person or family, he can save you time and money. Example, instead of going from store to store looking for flooring, we had our flooring picked out in 30 mins. He knew what we were looking for, he has the experience to know where to find and what we were trying to achieve and within our budget. When we arrived at the flooring store he gave us a few choices and we loved them all and settled on one that day and at a price point that was better than what we expected. Roberto brings to the table many skills that are intangible. I love referring him to anyone and everyone.

I first contacted Roberto in the fall 2016. Initially, we completed half of the decoration project he had planned. By the time I contacted him to finish the job, one year later, his clientele had changed. He was now working with clients with a budget considerably higher than mine. He still accepted to finish the decoration project for me, as he had given me his word a year before. Reliability, and respect of one's word, are rare qualities in our world: he is someone you can trust. As for the quality of his work, I would just qualify it as impeccable, accurate, and to the highest standards of competence.

Roberto did an excellent job painting the interior of our house. We appreciate all the attention to the details of the house, the protection of floors, stairs. The house was left clean after a days work and when the job was finished. Roberto offered a wealth of knowledge regarding paint choices products and decorating. We highly recommend Six Element design for any home renovation project.

Robert Valdivia (proprietor) is a sage when it comes to seeing beyond structural limitations. He listens with great care and makes thoughtful suggestions based on priorities of the client. He has saved us piles of money and his "Rolodex" of tradespeople are very responsible, polite and reasonable. We were interested in great design on a fixed value budget. He hit a home run!
