Trace Design Studio

Trace Design Studio is a residential interior design practice established in Miami, Florida in 2012 by Brazilian American designer Renata Lessa Bastos. Renata was featured in Architectural Digest in 2018 for her work on Shakira's Miami Beach home renovation, the North Bay Road Project. She works closely with each client and only accepts a handful of projects at a time. This allows Renata to listen to every detail of what is needed and wanted to then create a custom tailored design solution appropriate for your house and your family. Her design approach is always sensitive to the location of the project and usually translates to a naturalist minimalism which blends natural textures and contemporary elements with iconic forms and traditional details to create layers of meaning in the interiors. This approach allows Trace to work with a variety of styles (from contemporary to transitional) and create more timeless and unique designs. On a practical level, Trace coordinates all aspects of your project from beginning to end, design and project management, so you can have a trusted partner throughout the entire process. Trace charges an hourly design fee and does not charge commission on materials or installations. Working with Trace gives clients access to not only hundreds of luxury and mid-tier vendors but also a network of trusted South Florida craftsmen and contractors that Renata has personally been working with for over 14 years in the industry at Trace as well as other award winning local firms.
