beautiful blacksmith

It was a pleasure working with Stephan to design the ironwork for our house and gardens. This was part of a large remodel and he worked alongside the contractor and carpenters to develop a beautiful staircase and custom made chandlers and lights.

I absolutely love the artwork that Stefan created for me. It is without a doubt a perfect representation of so many aspects of my work - our logo, yoga, ayurveda... Thank you Stefan! Namaste.

Stefan did 3 table stands (2 stone table tops and one glass) and designed each of them beautifully to marry with the environment and the material they were made of. He was approachable and took our preferences as the design went along positively. He is quite an artists, but also very approachable. I only wish I were in need of a garden gate! his are so beautiful!

Stefan duerst , the beautiful blacksmith - so aptly named -exceptional, beautiful and functionally sound robust work. He made outside ralings for our staircases as well as an architectural piece for the outdoors . I also have an large indoor wall sculpture that has given me much pleasure. The workmanship is precise, perfect and beautiful. Stefan has an exceptionally positive attitude; he is receptive to ideas and enthusiastically embraces them- and then finesses them to perfection. He has incredible energy, and is a perfectionist in the best sense of the word. I consider myself most fortunate to be able to enjoy his work every day. I have absolutely no personal or business affiliation with him - just the good fortune to have encountered him and his work. I would most highly recommend him.

We worked with Stefan Duerst on several projects in our previous home... Kitchen cupboard handles that organically flowed from one side of the kitchen to the other in one free creative design... A beautiful inside door that seperated the foyer from the front door... An amazing fireplace surround, fireplace doors and sleek 8' tall fireplace tools art piece... Another organically flowing creative piece that created privacy bars in front of the 18" parcel door at the front entrance... Wall mounted Coat hooks... 30' of railing on a raised exterior deck allowing seamless views of the yard ... AND... Two beautiful 8' wall sconces that are a mix of Metal and thick colored glass. Stefan is very talented and was keen to understand our needs as well as provide us with many creative ideas and possibilities! It was such a pleasure working with Stefan that we have invited him back to work on our new home.
