Mod Mettle

I ordered an address plaque from Urban Mettle and there was some confusion about the format ( I have an odd 1/2 house number). When I got the plaque I absolutely loved it, but the address wasn't the way I had envisioned it. I let Holly know and they immediately made me a new plaque and shipped it to me without charging me. I am so impressed with their responsiveness and willingness to get it just right. In addition to the service, the plaque itself is awesome. It is well built and exactly as described on their site. I've got my eye on a mailbox and won't hesitate to order again!

We built a modern-ish home in a very traditional neighborhood and wanted house numbers that were a little bit different. Working with Urban Mettle, Holly and Hal customized their "off-set, bar mounted number plaque" that is meant to be surface mounted so that we could mount it directly to the top of our new fence. We installed them in the fall, and now it is spring, and they have weathered in and look fabulous!! What an amazing product. I was thrilled to work with Urban Mettle on a custom design for a residential client I was working with. We wanted something that would stand out from the normal address letters and mailboxes. I was able to work with them one on one to create the exact size and specifications I was looking for. They were efficient and the turn around time was great. We went with the white powder coat and also added a lid to cover in case of rain for the mailbox portion. I was very happy with the make and quality of the piece, very substantial. I will definitely use them in the future and refer them to other designers and clients. Thanks again!

Our yard was getting a makeover, and the original "tin box on a stick" mailbox was looking tired and shabby. We love the esthetic of Urban Mettle's signage and planter box signs but didn't have a place to put one. So we worked with the designer for a custom mailbox/signage installation, blending the design and materials of their planters with the needs of our new landscaping. To make sure we met all the USPS requirements (government was on shutdown so we had to rely on their website for info) we ordered a Restoration Hardware letter box instead of having one made. Urban Mettle created and designed the rusted steel supports and faceplace, and drilled holes for the letter box and the street numbers (which they provided.) Our landscaper's crew dug holes for the footings and set the posts in QuikCrete, Now we have a sturdy and beautiful one-of-a-kind mailbox that complements our home and yard - we couldn't be happier with Urban Mettle.
