Design Five

David offered a great redesign for our kitchen remodel in January of 2021. We started the conversation in February of 2020. The use of space for additional cabinets, a new layout in the kitchen that offers a bigger feel and fresh look, David is an expert. Davis Mills cabinets out of UT is the cabinet line he uses. But unfortunately David Garwood offers horrible customer service and follow through. We have been waiting over ONE YEAR for our chipped, warped, scratched cabinets ( doors) to be replaced. Since the last payment was received there is NEVER a call back in a timely fashion or replies to text messages wondering when our project will be complete. We are still waiting for the cabinet door repairs to take place. If you want a new redesign, look no further, David offers a great eye for use of space. If you want help with cabinet selection (color or style) get a designer, if you want help and follow through once your project going in or somewhat complete... I would call another kitchen company in the Steamboat area!! You are welcome to call me, I can be found locally.

David has been fantastic to work with. He was always looking out for my best interest even if it adversely affected him. Not something you can say about most construction and design professionals. We initially engaged David to help with a kitchen remodel but ended up using him to re-do kitchen, living room, bar area, fireplace and master bath. The project was a bit challenging given COVID but David was able to fill-in or find alternative resources when we needed them. A very contentious and detail-oriented guy who makes sure everyone performs to high standards. Highly recommend.

We are fortunate that an appliance company on the front range referred us to David Garfield because they knew he had worked with other customers who live in Steamboat Springs. David was more than helpful in assisting with a "down to the studs" remodel of our condo. He provided detailed plans for a kitchen, three bathrooms and a bedroom converted to an office. He had creative ideas and focused on transforming the space to meet our needs. David Garfield is an excellent listener, ethical, professional, trustworthy, etc. The remodel was during the Covid pandemic and he consistently demonstrated respect for public health orders which we greatly appreciated. We highly recommend him.

We have used David Garwood's services on two kitchen designs and installations, and his work was excellent. His designs were very artistic and well appearing, while at the same time very functional. He talked to us about what we wanted in a kitchen, and he listened which we found very refreshing. He offered excellent advice on a number of issues on which we had questions. He offered us good choices, and was sensitive to our budget. His installation was perfect and we have had no issues with his work in the years following the installation. David is gifted in design, honest and open with details, very personable and easy to work with, and a very hard worker. It is without any reservation that we highly recommend him and his services. We will certainly use him again on our next project.

I did a kitchen remodel that David helped with that totally transformed the house. this was a complete remodel down to the studs. his help wasn't just picking out some cabinets. he assisted with contractor selection, kitchen layout, cabinets, materials and appliances and more. I had never done a remodel of this scale and i would have been lost without his assistance. the project turned out great.

David was a pleasure to work with, I believe in he's work and trust him. He was always there for us during the whole kitchen building process, from picking out counter tops and beautiful appliances. Our Steamboat Spring's kitchen remodel by Design Five and crew combined mountain and modern designs to make our kitchen super beautiful, efficient and user friendly. David worked with us to design a kitchen that kept the original footprint, thereby keeping the costs low but transforming it into a work and hangout space beyond what we certainly imagined. There were several issues along the way and we wanted everything just right. David worked diligently with us until everything was completed as desired in a timely manner. Friendly and responsive too!

David was in charge of a remodel of our Colorado condo which was a large job. We would definitely use David again.

David was very quick to respond to any questions or issues that I had. He went out of his way to resolve anything that needed attention.
