Vicki was incredibly helpful during our house renovation. She worked with us on our kitchen, bathrooms and some other details of our house. She was insightful enough to ask questions and pick up on things that directly influenced her recommendations on layout and design aspect. Further to that, she also helped to understand our design aesthetic for specific selections. Most importantly, she spoke with us in a very digestable way, explaining why she made certain recommendations and helped us troubleshoot solutions as different issues arose.

Vicki was an amazing professional to work with for my kitchen renovation. She is extremely thoughtful and intentional with the planning and very detail oriented. She tailors the project to the individual and their needs and work habits in the kitchen which in the end makes a huge difference. She challenged me to think about details like how do I move in my kitchen, how do I cook, what do I cook, and how do we live. She also is an expert at maximizing storage space especially in space constrained areas. Vicki has a great sense for design, color, and style. She is a professional and so easy to work with! I highly recommend her for any project!

We loved working with Vicki on our home renovation project. From our initial meeting with her, it was clear that she wanted to be a partner to help us actualize our vision. She held our hand every step of the way, joining us at appointments and serving as the go between with our contractor when needed. When we bought our 1940’s-era colonial, it was clear that we needed to renovate the kitchen. I reached out to Vicki and I’m so glad I did! We avoided so many pitfalls and really turned our kitchen into something not only HGTV-worthy, but also extremely functional. Vicki helped us use every inch of available space to maximize storage space, counter space, and pantry space (now my problem is I have a little too much space!). She also had excellent recommendations for hardware, countertops, and other kitchen materials. Thank you so much, Vicki!

We created a MODERN, up to date kitchen, using Vicki from Kitchen Design as our designer on this project. Vicki was a referral from a trusted friend and she had worked as a kitchen designer in NYC for a decade. I figured her NY career would encompass a vast knowledge of unique kitchen ideas and interesting designs that may be very helpful as we planned our kitchen. My kitchen was not going to be replacing and updating - but rather and entire change to our kitchen and dining. We started our project design in late 2019. My husband and I decided to open up our small kitchen into the formal dining room and create a larger kitchen with an eat in area. Although the idea was unconventional (to eliminate a formal dining room), we decided to make our home more functional for us. It was scary to make such a change in our $600K home by eliminating the formal dining room. My husband and I measured, drew some sketches, and came up with a tentative vision of what we would like to see. We used the cabinet vendors’ kitchen design studio to create the layout and drawings. They did a great initial layout, but I felt something was missing. I needed fresh ideas. I knew I needed an expert to help me with design, color choices, as well as what was in style and what was dated. The new kitchen would be visible from the front door. I wanted that view to be appealing - while having a much lived in home. It was time to bring in a designer to pull the project together and get started. The flow was important, and Vicki designed the kitchen for maximum use in a busy hub of the house. I contacted Vicki at Kitchen Design. I was ready for a much needed professional as well as her expertise to review what I started. I understand build out and remodeling - but structural changes and having the proper flow was not in my wheelhouse. I did not know enough about kitchen design and distances or flow of appliances to islands and cabinets. Actually, I realized I needed much more help than I thought. Bringing an expert in earlier would have been a better way to go. Vicki took our initial drawings and created a design with enough space and movement for cooking, eating and entertaining. The kitchen was the central location of our home and it opened into our family room. We worked together to discuss our needs, style, costs and product lines. We decided on some basics - the size of the stone island, quartz countertops, luxury vinyl tile flooring, backsplash style, stainless appliances and sinks, cabinet finishes and handles, extra storage needs, trash area and color schemes. Due to the larger space, I was adding a bar sink, but later decided on 2 full size sinks. What a difference that made. It was a great addition. The scope of our project was extensive and was planned to take 6- 12 weeks if everything was in stock and delivered. The project was completed on time and we love our new kitchen! I would recommend Vicki for all your kitchen design and planning.

Vicki did better work for us on Zoom than others have done for us in person. We used her years ago in NYC and now called upon her to help us in our new home and kitchen in the northeast even though she has relocated. She is tuned in to color, very practical sensitivities, and design details that are especially appreciated like where to place lights. Her keen eye sees things that would never have occurred to us. Vicki was amazing. She helped me every step of the way to actualize my dream kitchen. She is extremely detail oriented, meticulous, creative and available. From beginning to end, Vicki took time to give me enough information to make good decisions- even when I didn’t know there was a decision to make. She asked me lots of questions right from the beginning to make sure the design incorporated all my must haves as well as a convenient storage spot for all my kitchen gadgets. Vicki helped me with every detail including cabinet style and colors and hardware selection. She worked with the cabinet builder to design a custom hood for my stove. When there was an issue with the the cabinets after they were installed, Vicki successfully advocated on my behalf to have them refinished. Vicki is pleasant, knowledgeable, responsive and conscientious. I couldn’t have asked for more and highly recommend using her!
