We had an amazing experience with Southcoast Kitchen Designs. From start to finish, they made the entire process smooth and seamless. For our first project, Natasha helped us with selection, design, and materials. We were so happy with the final product that we decided to use SKD to complete another remodeling project. Doing a complete kitchen and powder bath remodel seemed daunting, but the team made it as stress free as possible and handled every last detail each step of the way. Natasha guided us through the selection and design process and continued to check in as the project progressed. Mark and Vince are a superb team, and were there to answer any questions and tackle any issues that came up throughout the process. They went above and beyond, even coming back after the job was complete to help us with a seperate house issue that was unrelated to their work. The staff at Southcoast Kitchens are absolute professionals and truly a pleasure to work with. The designers, project managers, engineers and carpenters are all exceptional and were genuinely interested in making sure our vision of a kitchen came to life and that they met our every expectation. We were first drawn to them with the comprehensive project plan they have on their website, identifying every milestone, every meeting, every deadline, every decision point and every payment. We knew exactly what to expect and when it would happen. And despite some delays caused by the building department, they still hit their deadlines and finished on time! Natasha, Mark and Patrick were all great, keeping us up to date, answering all of our questions, posting pictures of progress, offering lots of great suggestions and incorporating our ideas, never balking or hesitating when a curve came their way. They were extremely neat and conscientious about keeping our house a home throughout construction. We highly, highly recommend them to anyone that not only wants a gorgeous kitchen but wants the whole experience from design to implementation to be as pleasant as possible.

Matt and his team are very professional and skilled in their work, and their new showroom is beautiful. The displays show a wide variety of color, material, hardware and accessory combinations. Best. Experience. Ever. We've had several contractors work for us over the years. In most cases, our experiences have ranged from disappointed to modestly satisfied. Never before have we had a company that provided such an amazing end-to-end experience that we've wanted to sing their praises. Southcoast Kitchen Designs is that company. We hired Matt and the Southcoast Kitchen Designs team to redesign and remodel our kitchen. We've needed this work done for a long time. Our kitchen could have won the "Ugliest Kitchen Ever" contest. Formica counters, contractor-grade cabinets made from pressed sawdust and glue (which were literally falling off the walls), ancient, rusting appliances, cracked tile and a flow that well, didn't flow. We ended up removing a wall between the kitchen and dining room and replacing it with a beam in the ceiling (which you cannot tell ever happened - it's perfect!), installing all new cherry cabinets and crown moulding, new soapstone countertops, new hardwood flooring, a slate backsplash, new garden window and set of back doors, a stainless backsplash to the stove, all new appliances including stove, hood, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave drawer in the island (coolest thing ever), new sink and faucet, all new lighting and really cool accessories like seeded glass and intricate knobs and pulls to match.. The end result is a drool-worthy classic kitchen that everyone gasps at when they see it. It is awesome. We evaluated Southcoast Kitchen Designs against several competitors in the area. We had a budget in mind and had a pretty good idea of what we were looking for. Matt's pricing was extremely competitive. Matt and his team took the time to educate us on the choices we had in everything from cabinet construction, to wood species and stain, to the pros and cons of countertop materials to overall kitchen design. What we liked most about the design process was how collaborative it was. We had some ideas, Matt had ideas and we figured it the perfect design for our space together. We always felt like we had a choice, that we were in control, but had a trusted adviser which gave us pros and cons and recommendations along the way. Another thing that stood out for us was how responsive Matt was. We've all had experiences with contractors who don't return calls, or vanish. Matt always got back to us the same day we contacted him (sometimes sending emails well into the night). He also did an awesome job communicating everything with us along the way. We always knew exactly what was going on and when we had questions, he was always there to help us explore the answers. From that point it only got better. Matt coordinated the builder, cabinet installers, electricians, plumbers, plasterers, countertop installers, flooring installers and others like a conductor in a symphony. Every entrance and exit was perfectly choreographed and happened on time. From a budget / quote perspective We really liked Matt's "no surprises" approach. We knew exactly what we were getting for the money and what was quoted was what we paid. Admittedly, we did have a few small changes we made beyond this scope which we gladly paid for. The other thing we liked about Southcoast Kitchen Designs was their commitment to making sure their customers are 100% happy. Not just satisfied, but happy. We did have an issue where the refrigerator we wanted to keep stuck out too far from the cabinet once everything was installed. Thankfully, Matt designed the refrigerator cabinet so it could be widened, so were were able to get another refrigerator with the same cu ft. but a different footprint. Matt even helped us by purchasing the old refrigerator and selling it for us! Finally we were extremely impressed with the true craftsmanship of every person who worked in our kitchen. Everyone took extreme pride in their work and it shows in the details of everything - cabinets, countertops, plaster, you name it. It looks like a piece of art. We met Matt several yrs ago. He was very professional, very prepared & efficient. We had a very small bathroom reno. He designed a beautiful vanity top & sink from Corian. When we decided to do further updates to our kitchen , we thought of Matt immediately. Again he was happy to replace our island counter with a Corian that paired with our existing counters. Again I wanted a bit more....a matching back splash & sill behind the sink ( it was wood trim w/ a wood painted windowsill ) & Matt designed & installed exactly what I had in mind. We initially hired Matt from Southcoast Kitchen Designs in the Spring of 2012 to install granite counter tops and a sink in our kitchen area. He came to our home with sample pieces of granite and info on granite suppliers we could visit. Once we made our decision he came and did a template and scheduled an installation date in a very timely manner. He always responded quickly to our email questions or requests for a phone call. We felt he was very accessible and really listened and that was important to us. The cost was competitive and he was true to his projected timeline. The job itself went great, the counters fit perfectly and look awesome. We called him back a few months later to install a granite countertop and sink in our half-bath and then most recently to install counter tops and a new vanity with sinks in our master bath. We had concerns about the size of the sinks we should order and he responded right away with the info we needed. Again the experiences and results were excellent. We highly recommend him as you can deduce from us hiring him three times!

Bill worked with my wife and I with designing the perfect kitchen. He also shared with us his expertise of seeing many kitchens on what would look good in our kitchen and gave us many great ideas. Rather than trying to sell us too much, Bill would tell us some things we wanted were really not what they seem. It was a great experience working with Bill and Matt and I would recommend them everyone.

Southcoast Kitchen Design performed a complete kitchen remoldeling including design, cabinets and floor. Vanities and floors were provided for three bathrooms as well. Products and workmanship were excellent. Pricing was competitive and the work was completed in a timely manner. I highly recommend this company for future projects.
