We hired Gemini from Summit Street Design to lead a comprehensive renovation of our dated home, and the results are exceptional. She designed three stunning bathrooms, including our fantastic master bath and a complex first-floor en-suite addition and created a perfectly functional mudroom and a beautiful custom fireplace surround. As a busy family with two young children and full-time careers, we deeply appreciated Gemini’s flexibility. She streamlined the process by bringing samples directly to our home and collaborated seamlessly with our contractor and architect to ensure every detail was executed correctly. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and highly recommend her for any design project from concept to completion.

Gemini was recommended to us by our friends after she had helped them do various updates in their home. She helped us update two bathrooms in our home earlier this year. We thoroughly enjoyed working with her. She has a keen sense of style. She helped walk us through the flooring and fixtures selection process and helped us visualize what combinations would work well together. She is very polite and always willing to listen to your point of view and offer her suggestions, but never pushy. We appreciated the fact that during construction, she was on site regularly and was in constant touch with our contractor to guide him and make sure the bathrooms turned out exactly as we had visualized. She took delivery of fixtures at the house herself and dealt with any with the suppliers directly. We had a very pleasant experience and are talking to her about our next project!

My husband and I hired Gemini to help design our kitchen and bathroom renovation in Nyack. I had been recommended Gemini from local reputable contractors that spoke very highly of her. Gemini was such an integral part of helping bring my vision to life in our fully renovated home that hadn't been updated in decades. I had very specific visions of what I wanted the kitchen and bathrooms to look like and she helped aid and bring that vision to life every step of the way with me and our contractor. She really has such a great design sense and I loved all the advice and ideas she had for the space. Another huge part of Geminis help involved making sure that our vision was brought to life by the contractor. That can be a tricky step of any renovation where a contractor does not always have the eye that a designer, like Gemini would and having her partner with our contractor throughout the entirety of the project was honestly the biggest asset throughout the entire process. She brought to life a layout and vision to our kitchen that our architect, contractor nor I could see and I am so grateful for it. She helped us stay within our budget and always made sure to share the options that made sense for each aspect of the renovation - from the big things like the cabinets, counters and tiles through to the various fixtures, hardware and even lighting options. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience working with Gemini during our renovation and she will be the first one I call if we ever have another renovation project that could use her brilliant design eye!

Gemini, owner of Summit Street Design, is a wonderful designer. She has a great capacity for visualizing space. We needed to replace our downstairs half-bath with a full bathroom. That may sound like a simple task, but it meant completely reconfiguring the space, moving walls, repositioning the plumbing, and thinking about fixtures that would fit well within a small area. She also redesigned part of the connecting room, turning a large hall closet into two closets for two spaces. We found her very easy to work with. She starts from where her clients are, offers options, and is great at hearing and understanding the needs of her clients, and finding creative solutions. She was available whenever we needed as the project proceeded. Although choosing paint, tiling and fixtures was up to us, she was supportive and helpful as we made our choices. Her company also created two lovely cabinets for our bathroom that are both functional and very attractive. We highly recommend her!

It was a pleasure to work with Gemini who understood what we wanted & created a beautiful transformation. Our renovated kitchen brought me to my comfort zone: tropical, warm & comfortable. Gemini is wonderful! I have a strong design sense but had no idea how to maximize the space in my farmhouse kitchen. I also wanted to completely modernize without having a kitchen that's aesthetically disconnected from the rest of my home. Gemini really spent time talking with us, looking at how we used our old kitchen, where we needed additional space and what we wanted to add. We ended up with a beautiful full-size pantry, a coffee-and-snack station and double wall ovens, along with additional storage. Everything was top quality yet she always offered a range of price options. She also involved us in every step of the process, checking in with our contractor, meeting us at the granite yard (for our counters) or tile shop, and really helping to supervise every step of the way. I never felt like I was left alone to handle the biggest project my husband and I had ever tackled as a couple. Plus, she has exquisite taste! I cannot recommend Gemini or Summit Street Design highly enough!

Gemini executed a flawless two-room renovation in a challenging older home, despite COVID and my busy work schedule out of state. She used my time efficiently and triaged design options/selections to ensure the classic period style of the home was maintained, while still enabling modern efficiency. Highly recommend!

Our experience with Gemini Watanabe was an absolute delight from the start of the project—a new kitchen and bathroom— to the finish. Her sense of design is exquisite. She designed a new kitchen that was within our budget, elegant, and beyond our expectations. She got to know us, listened to our desires, our dreams, our tastes, and gave us options that stuck to our budget without being overwhelming. (We asked her to limit choices, to keep the process somewhat simple, and she did just that.). When the construction began, she was hands on, working with the contractor, and even the installers—all the way to the very last hinge on the very last cabinet. Working with Gemini was a delight, and we can sense it in the way our kitchen—and even our bathroom—feels in our house. Most of all, working with Gemini was a fun, a pleasure—and again she listened carefully to our suggestions and helped ease our anxieties along the way. Her rates are reasonable—especially considering how much work she put into the project—and the materials and choices she helped us make were incredible. We will be recommending her as a designer to all of our friends in the future.

Gutting the bathroom for a complete renovation was the first major project we have ever done on the house. We were pretty much in the dark about the process of drawing up the new layout and choosing materials and fixtures from the infinite world of options out there so we hired Gemini to help us. Working with Gemini was a dream! She narrowed in on our aesthetic right away, from the layout to materials, so that the decision making process was fun and easy. She had incredible vendor resources to work with so that everything from the tile to the vanity felt uniquely in line with our vision, while staying within budget. She followed through with any changes to the plans right away and worked closely with the contractor to make sure installation details were precise. We were looking for a space with clean lines that was bright, airy and peaceful and that's exactly what we got. Gemini really helped this dream come true. It's our favorite room in the house!
