Cindy was a great help designing my kitchen remodel. She is extremely detail oriented, experienced and listened well to my needs. She offered alternatives for ways to keep costs down and recommended several contractors with whom she had worked in the past when it came time to get bids on the construction costs. She has a great eye for color and provided me with copies of all plans and revisions promptly. I highly recommend her and plan to use her services again on other projects.

Cindy Garten of Unique Techniques designed our downstairs remodel, including new cabinets, quartzite countertops, appliances, tile backsplashes, plumbing fixtures, paint, window coverings, and tile floors, and everything coordinates beautifully. With a keen eye for good design, Cindy made our home not only more beautiful, but much more functional. She recognized our vision, listened to us every step of the way to make sure everything was how we wanted it to be, and was extremely patient when we were unsure of choices or changed our minds. We were in the midst of the project when the Covid crisis hit, and she was very sensitive to our needs. Cindy was in frequent communication with us, answering questions, updating us on material orders, and giving us moral support throughout the disruption. Her attention to detail was especially impressive, and brought up issues we didn't even know we should be thinking about. She recommended an excellent contractor and worked closely with him in executing the design. When we started out we weren't sure if we needed a designer, but we are so thankful that we hired Cindy. We would never have had such a beautiful result without the work she did, and we feel it was the best investment we could have made in the project. We could not have asked for a more energetic, conscientious, and personable designer. We will definitely hire her when we are ready to redo the upstairs.

Her vast knowledge will help you develop your project as if you did it all yourself. You could never have access to all her partner businesses without her connection. Not sure where to begin, it's all been a blissful blur with her attention to detail, intelligent explanations, abundance of choices and options, extreme professionalism and her ethics are stellar. Cindy came to me via Fergerson's in Sacramento, California. From "Hello" I've been amazed by her personality and talent. Cindy is punctual, full of ideas, execution of the project has been a savior, team player and takes copious notes and follow-up, always. She's also passionate about her work and genuinely interested in my wants/needs as her fellow work team. To this end, Çindy is simply fun and a joy to be around during this ExCiTiNg and challenging endeavor. Highly recommend Cindy! As owners of a 1300 square foot condo, we were frustrated with traffic patterns in our carpet. After consulting Cindy regarding flooring options, she suggested vinyl plank flooring laid at an angle. Her product knowledge led to an amazing floor that’s easy to maintain, and the angle draws your eye to our mountain view. Cindy at Unique Techniques is an exceptional designer! I had the pleasure of working with Cindy during the span of several months, as we were building our new home. We hired her to design all the cabinetry for our over 5,000 sq. ft. house, which included the kitchen, pantry, bathrooms, living room, family room, office, and a reading room/gameroom. Cindy Garten assisted me with the design of my new 3,000 sq. ft home in 2012. She was a pleasure to work with and always listened to my thoughts, ideas, and concerns. When I decided to have my rather useless walk-in pantry redesigned and update the lighting in my family room, I contacted Cindy at Unique Techniques. Cindy has a great eye for good design and knows what works and what does not. She was able to problem solve areas that I thought had no solution, particularly when coming up with lighting solutions for my family room. Cindy is also a pleasure to work with and understood exactly what result I was looking for. Cindy worked closely with the contractor who was hired to implement the changes and the project came together without a hitch. I now have a very workable mini-butler’s pantry with wine cooler, granite counters for my appliances, movable shelves, a floor to ceiling unit of Lazy-Susan style shelves to efficiently store items and new lighting so I can actually see what is in the pantry. I would recommend Unique Techniques to anyone who is building a new home or remodeling.
