Christopher Thomas Construction remodeled our master bathroom fall of 2016. Our entire family is more than pleased with how the project turned out. I smile every time I look at our beautiful new bath. The entire Christopher Thomas team was the best! Matt was great about keeping me updated and was always available when I had questions or concerns. The professionals that were in and out of our home during the project were also top notch. They were flexible with my schedule, family, and were even great with the dog. I never had the fear of coming back to a mess or chaos. I would highly recommend Christopher Thomas Construction to any of my friends, and we are eagerly looking forward to having them redo our kitchen in the future.

Christopher Thomas Construction was very professional in their approach to our project. They were extremely flexible as the work evolved to completion into our favorite place in our home.

We hired Christopher Thomas to renovate our kitchen and open up the kitchen to the living room in our 1950's ranch home. We are very happy with the results. We spend 90% of our time in the space. While I'm prepping dinner or checking email at our 7 foot island that seats 5 I can watch TV, clearly see the kids in our large backyard & enjoy tons of natural light. The project included removing a large fireplace & chimney, installing a 21 foot beam into the attic to remove a wall. The kitchen was taken down to the studs, completed refigured, plumbing moved & electric reworked for dimmable recessed lighting & electricity for the island & new floors throughout. CT Const. was easy to work with - our project manager was at the site every day & work was being done every day. The finish carpenter is excellent & the employees are professional & friendly. The owner is very personable, responsive & knowledgeable. However, the inhouse drywaller was very slow & not very skilled. I would hire CT again but insist on a skilled drywall sub.

I highly recommend Christopher Thomas Construction. The owner, Matt Stroud, was professional and responsive during the entire renovation project. We renovated a 2300 square foot house using CT Construction. The process took about 4-5 months (which I view as pretty quick, since a lot of that time was the design phase). CT installed new wood floors throughout, completely gutted the kitchen and master bathroom, installed new closet systems (including a nice walk-in master closet), made built-in bookshelves next to the fireplace (this involved cutting brick away to make room for the bookshelves), renovated the laundry room, replaced all the trim and doors (including the front door) throughout the house, installed a new roof, and installed a new 400 square foot cedar deck with built-in kitchen, and I'm sure I'm missing many of the things they did. I simply could not speak highly enough of CT. They have carpenters on staff that do a majority of the work, and the subcontractors that CT uses also do excellent work (and CT does not mark-up the subcontractors' work too much). Matt is a nice person and excellent to work with. CT focuses on larger luxury renovations and additions, but also does some one-off bathrooms and smaller projects too. I recommend you give them a call.

I have used Christopher Thomas several times. My new main bathroom is gorgeous and I get so many compliments. The people at this company are professional, friendly and leave your house clean. Matt takes great pride in his work and team.

We had a good experience with CT Construction! Matt, George, and their entire crew listened to my ideas about my project and worked with me to make my vision come to life. They were flexible with us as well and we are grateful for their ability to complete our project before our son was born.

CT Construction was recommended to me by a business associate that I thoroughly trust and I'm extremely pleased with the service and the results. The front porch on my home built in 1920 needed new windows and, due to its age, I didn't want just anyone replacing them. CT quoted the job in a timely manner for a price I felt was more than fair. They scheduled the job quickly and finished sooner than I had hoped for. Their tradesmen were courteous and professional, and they were even able to fix my storm door that hadn't worked properly almost from the day it was first installed.

We were/are so happy with our entire renovation process that Christopher Thomas Construction undertook. Matt Stroud is an extremely knowledgeable, thorough, responsible, and responsive professional. The project proceeded smoothly and according to our agreed-upon scheduling, and Matt and his team execute beautiful craftsmanship! A wonderful, positive experience!

I love the way my home turned out. Matt and his crew did an incredible job renovating my kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway. He made the designer's plans real, while adding practical and creative suggestions along the way that enhanced the final product. I appreciated his personal integrity. Matt answers questions promptly, stays on budget, is easy to work with and meets deadlines. I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, I used Matt and his crew for a remodel of my house. Part of the work he did was to install two doorwalls. A year later they both leak. He also re-roofed a section of my roof where he took out a chimney. That leaks as well. The worst part is is that he won't return my calls and fix the problems.

We hired Matt Stroud and his company to do a total renovation, including electric and plumbing, of a historic 80 year old, 5000 sq. ft. home for over $250,000 in 2014. It was a long process, so I'll keep it succint. Initially, everything was great. The owner said he would personally manage our renovation, was prompt, responsive, professional and flexible. He let us use their warehouse to store our materials as they came in at no extra cost. His staff was friendly and professional and we thought we would be repeat clients forever. Things were ahead of schedule during demo, but then went horribly wrong after that. 1. COMMUNICATION - When they started missing deadlines, making costly mistakes, did not show up for service and we started having issues with communication with the Project Manager, George, the owner, Matt, stopped taking our calls. The house was barely useable in time for my daughter's birthday, which was a hard deadline we had given them and they told us that their quality was suffering because we rushed them. Mind you that they told us the renovation would be completed in 4 months. It took 9 months. 2. PRICE - Some items I had ordered and had the owner verify and sign off on before ordering did not fit. So without telling me in same cases (shower door), they would have the item modified. They never mentioned the cost of any of this, which we should not have had to pay because it was their error, until they presented us with a bill for an extra $10,000. We negotiated that down to approximately $2000, citing that we could have avoided many of those costs had they paid attention to detail (they are the experts, correct) and communicated. Then they tried to charge us twice for some things. 3. SERVICE - We were never late on a payment. We were overly communicative. I had diagrams and charts of items and locations. We were always available for questions and generally understanding when issues arose and they were communicated effectively. They said over and over we were easy to work with because we were organized. So when the project got out of hand expensive, we tried to scale down as to not get in over our heads. But they said they would work with us for the basement renovation and initiated a payment to plan. Since we were still paying large lump sums regularly (like $30K), the payment plan for ($18,000) was supposed to start when the renovation was completed. But they hounded us about the first payment before they completed the other work, which was not the original agreement. And we could never get them to respond to email, so we couldn't get these things in writing. 4. QUALITY - Visually, our home looks nice. Most things work and for a large renovation, I guess I should be happy with 80% of things done well. But we paid over $250,000 for this renovation and a plumbing issue caused the basement to flood after the renovation was complete because they failed to inspect underground and there is still knocking throughout our pipes. They paid for some companies to make an assessment, who wanted to charge us an extra $10K to bust up our newly renovated basement and lawn, but they couldnt tell us what the problem was. We agreed on a repair strategy, but they never showed up. CT never showed up on at least 4 occasions that my husband or I took off work to deal with. Ultimately, the issue was that they had stuffed some material in the venting system for the plumbing and once we paid for another opinion and it was removed, no issues with flooding. Also, the hardwood floors have paint stains in them because their flooring company would haphazardly show up in the middle of painting. There were black fingerprint smudges on all of the white doors and moldings. And the ceiling under their addition shifted. When we pointed it out, they fixed it but slapped on the wrong color paint and now we have a two tone ceiling in our kitchen. Also, the repair of the historic handplaster molding they did when they damaged it was initially horrible, but we made them call in an expert to fix it. In each case, we had to fight with them to get things done correctly, and they have not honored their warranty since. Ultimately, most of these issues could have been avoided with thoughtful, responsive communication from the company leadership when things got hard and attention to detail.

CT Construction is fantastic! The whole team of Christopher Thomas Construction is passionate for what they do. It was incredibly evident during their time with us when doing our kitchen, laundry room, and powder room. They genuinely have the customers best interest in mind. We were really impressed with everyone's integrity, attention to detail, problem solving skills, creativity, and sense of humor! They will always be our first choice for a builder!
