Design Solution Group

This is the second project that Olga has helped us with and we have been pleased with her assistance in creating the spaces that we desired. The first project was the renovation of two bathrooms, and most recently she helped us with our kitchen. * Vision/design-- she gave us her ideas and incorporated what we wanted our kitchen to look and feel like. * Execution-- As the project manager she made sure that everything was ordered and she coordinated the expert services that were needed. * Olga was friendly and professional. She responded in a timely manner to our calls, texts and emails. Our kitchen is now beautiful, bright and colorful. It is welcoming and warm and we enjoy being in it. A key recommendation that Olga gave was putting an island in the kitchen. It is wonderful to be able to sit around it and use it for food preparation. A bouquet of flowers looks beautiful on it. We have received compliments on the kitchen. One friend said that space looks bigger and that it is beautiful. Olga has been our go-to designer twice now, and if a future project requires an expert, we will consult with Olga.

We hired Olga Sacasa for a bathroom renovation project. She was supposed to provide us with a set of drawings and specifications for all products and assist us with the project from start to finish. Olga requested all materials to be ordered before the construction started. Based on some approximate drawings provided upon our request, it was unclear what materials/fixtures we would need to buy. Since, according to the contract, Olga was not responsible for deliveries of materials not purchased at local showrooms, we followed her choice of showrooms for purchasing everything. Unfortunately, her choice of showrooms did not facilitate a smooth flow of the project. The project duration almost doubled from what was promised. The quotes we received from a bath/kitchen showroom visited with Olga were confusing to interpret and contained some incorrect information. We were expected to verify the quotes and catch all of the mistakes on our own - without having any experience in remodeling and design. In addition to that, Olga promised that we would be able to return and receive a full refund on all purchased items we would not use in our project. It was not true. The showroom charged us a restocking fee for every item we returned. Some items that were ordered with her help did not fit dimension- or code-wise in the remodeled bathrooms, so we had to return them with a monetary loss. We purchased necessary replacements on our own because we did not trust Olga and her showroom contact anymore. The contractors that she assigned us to for this project started the construction without receiving a set of detailed drawings and specifications from Olga. When we communicated our concern about the lack of drawings to her, she said that it was ok to start the construction without them. Only about three weeks after the start of the construction, Olga provided the contractors with a book of drawings and specifications. She never showed or discussed it with us before passing it to the contractors. As a result, some design elements did not match what we discussed with Olga at the beginning, so some adjustments had to be done on the run. She was supposed to accept deliveries of purchased materials to our house. However, she did not accurately verify what was delivered. She did not notice that the showroom put some incorrect items in the boxes and did not put some other items we purchased. The amount of tile ordered with Olga’s help happened to be incorrect: there was not enough tile for each bathroom. We had to reorder the tile in the middle of the project and wait for a couple more weeks for it to be delivered. By the way, we had to stay in our house for the duration of the project. The house did not have a spare bathroom with a shower to use during the project, so it was very frustrating to see those time delays accumulating over time. All in all, Olga's services were inadequate professionally. We would never hire Olga again for any project.

Olga was fantastic to work with! As first time homeowners, we'd never worked with contractors or a designer before. Olga held our hands the entire way and guided us through the process, start to finish. She set realistic expectations and when things didn't go as planned, helped us find an even better solution. Our project was complicated by the fact that it happened in the middle of a pandemic. Olga was a consummate professional throughout. She followed all protocols laid out by the CDC and never made us feel ill at ease in our own home. She was always respectful of the fact that we were living in the space that we were working on and helped us to maintain a habitable living space even when it seemed impossible. Our project was no small undertaking -- we turned our third floor attic space into a master suite by adding a bathroom and refinishing the room. Olga worked with us to design a floor plan that made sense and maximized the floor space that we had. She had great working relationships with our contractors at Art Remodeling and all of the vendors that we used for fixtures, etc. She made multiple visits to our site to check on the work throughout and also met us at the out when we needed to buy our fixtures. I would give a wholehearted endorsement of Olga's work and encourage anyone considering working with her to do so. If we have any other design projects, we'll certainly be going back to her.

Olga is lovely. She listens intently and gives ideas. She is never pushy and takes the homeowners' ideas and wishes and improves on them. She is thoughtful and kind. She is extremely talented. She made our house a home. The quality of the cabinets and appliances is top notch. She did a beautiful job making a very small kitchen into a modern and efficient space. Thank you!!!

We worked with Olga Sacasa this past winter on a basement renovation project, including installing a full bathroom, and we couldn’t be happier with both the process and the results. Olga worked with us to renovate the master bathroom and bedroom in our condo. We were very happy with the result. We had an idea of what we wanted, and she worked with us to develop those ideas into reality, with her expert knowledge, experience and sound advice along the way. Olga was very responsive to questions throughout the renovation process, and we highly recommend her design services.

Our 1930s home had a full bathroom - in a small, oddly shaped space - with a layout that made any updating seem impossible. Other design firms insisted that the bathroom would have to be extended into the hallway/stair landing in order to do any renovation, but we did not want to lose what little hallway/landing space we have. Thank goodness we found Olga! Olga designed a VERY CLEVER solution - that kept the same footprint - but which significantly improved the functionality of the bathroom - while also keeping construction costs minimized. We can hardly believe it is the same space! She expertly guided us through all the fixture selections - which maximized the use of our budget in sensible ways - and made the entire process as efficient as possible. We were also impressed with the firm of contractors she brought in to do the work. When we ran into a weird problem with one of the materials - Olga and the contractors went above and beyond to take care of it. I highly recommend Olga and would not hesitate to hire her again.

Full Master Bath remodel: Hiring Olga from the start was possibly the best decision we made for this project. She delivered on all fronts: design, full drawings and specifications, contractor coordination, etc., but most importantly, she took the stress out of the project. She worked with us to pick out all the fixtures and materials and was instrumental in helping us to stay on budget (not an easy thing redoing a full bathroom). We could count on her to have the contacts and sources for all the materials we needed. She was always available to help resolve any issues or questions and personally oversaw the major deliveries and installations. Olga was in constant contact with the contractors and kept us informed as much as possible. She is very easy to work with and fun… We are very happy with the results and would hire her again if an opportunity arises.
