Mike was worth every penny! My husband wrote Mike's review the first time we used him, and made a very professional letter of recommendation. Now it's my turn because this recent renovation was my kitchen, my project, and my money. And again, he was worth every penny. For both projects, someone was here everyday working and both projects were completed on time. And what impressed me was how hands-on Mike was throughout the reconstruction of the kitchen and bathrooms. He didn't just tell the tile-guy to put in tile or the plumbing guy to put in sinks and showers, Mike was here before them, measuring, figuring out the best way to have the job done and PREVENTING problems. Then he came back when they were here to make sure the task was done correctly. He even made some of the guys come back for a re-touch when something wasn't perfect (which I hadn't even noticed). Professional and Personal Recommendation To Whom It May Concern: Mr. Mike Madrigal was highly recommended to us by one of our neighbors where Mr. Madrigal was doing a major home renovation. My wife and I were very impressed with the workmanship and the quality of his work at our neighbor’s house. Few months later Mr. Madrigal started our major home renovation. Following are some of the areas where Mr. Madrigal has helped us to make our home improvement project a positive and magnificent experience. 1. Assisted in the feasibility study of what we could and we shouldn’t do 2. Prepared a detail and itemized quotation for all works required that we found to be very fair and competitive 3. Prepared detailed drawings with all the City Inspection Requirements 4. Interfaced with City Inspectors and helped obtain speedy approvals. During the construction phase, we never had any issues during the visits from the City Inspectors to obtain the required approvals. 5. Organized and scheduled all the construction work which allowed my family never to leave the premises; even if this caused extra set ups and additional work on his part. 6. Nothing but the best required materials were always used and no short cuts were ever taken. The workmanship is excellent. 7. All workers and lead employees were very professional, trustworthy and always attentive and accommodating to our questions and work change orders. 8. Mr. Madrigal always kept us very well informed at all phases of our project where we were and also of any unexpected issues. 9. It was not too far into our home remodeling project that we noticed Mr. Madrigal not only likes and enjoys his work, but that he also cares about exceeding our own personal expectations. We have too many examples of this that it’s impossible to list them all. 10. When the project was completed, and aside the additional costs for work change orders and unexpected surprises, Mr. Madrigal’s original quote was almost exact to its original price. 11. Our house project was also completed within the time frame that was originally anticipated. There was always someone every day from Oaktree Construction working on our house project. We know the above reasons are only few examples and no amount of credit can ever be given to Mr. Madrigal for all his work done in our house. Perhaps, the fact that we had asked Mr. Madrigal to come back and do additional work in our house after our first major remodeling could only be a better testimony of how we felt about doing business with OakTree Construction. On and off, the total journey with Oaktree Construction has gone now over 5 years. It has been a great pleasure and satisfying experience to have met personally with Mr. Madrigal and also being able to do business professionally with Oaktree Construction Company. Oak Tree managed a 7.5 millon building envelope renovation of a condominium complex in Port Hueneme CA. The renovationinvolved 17 buildings over 8 acres and included stucco, stairwells, fascia, metal trim and flashing, decks, railings, and support beams. Their management and attention to detail saved nearly 600,000. They negotiated a three year warranty. Oak Tree also improved the workflow process so the contractors minmizied mobilzation and demobilization time and kept moving from building to building without pause. The entire renovation was completed in 2 years. No corners were cut and the qualtiy of the work was recognized by our capital reserve firm. They have now consulted on a maintenance program.

I highly recommend my contractor Michael Madrigal for anyone who is looking or needs to have work done at their house. Of all the contractors that I have ever worked with Michael is the only one that I would recommend. He is a consummate professional who is incredibly knowledgeable , never cuts corners and is always reachable when working on a project for you. This is something that I have never experienced before with a contractor. Michael is the owner of Oak Tree Construction and has great relationships with his subs, all of whom love working with him.

I'm pleased to strongly recommend Mike Madrigal of Oak Tree Construction without reservation for anyone considering building or remodeling their dream home or condominium. I met Mike two years prior to my wife and I purchasing land to build our dream house. After seeing his work and checking him out (I'm a private investigator), I knew Mike was the best person to hire. All during the planning, construction and finishing all of the millions of details, Mike was fair, honest, easy to work with, and understanding. He was creative and found ways to save us money. Over the years afterward, there were times when I needed to call Mike for some new issue or repair. He was always available and there for me with a referral or to come by and see how he could help. It is most rare to find someone to build your home and stay friends with them throughout the process and afterward. In 2011 my washing machine created a flood and my hardwood floors were ruined. I called Mike and he took over the process, got the floor people, , managed the job and dealt with the insurance company. The end result was fantastic and Mike did an amazing job. Mike Madrigal is wonderful. He is creative, capable, and has integrity and follow through. Working with him was always easy. Mike is fair cost wise as well. He might not be the least expensive up front, although there are higher priced contractors; but at the end, he will save you in many ways and always be within budget...so don't be penny wise. Oak Tree Construction helped me with 2 very different jobs. First, I had to do "destructive testing" on an older construction unrelated to Oak Tree Construction, and Oak Tree put my house back together again with both cosmetic and structural repairs.
