I made the big mistake of giving Bento interior work on my house. at first I liked them, but then they caused a major accident with a pipe leak. I forgave them and we continued, only to discover significant problems with shoddy carpentry, unlevel tubs, things not done to code. Clayson was constantly hounding me for payments on incomplete work. I would only trust this company with exterior work, even then you must check everything!!! I've worked with Fernando and Rafael in the past on exterior jobs and patios and they were very easy to work with and professional. This time I hired Clayson for interior work and it was a disaster. It cost me a significant amount of time, money, and labor to fix the problems they left me with with zero apology. Another incident we had was a loose toilet they installed, when I tried to contact the owner to work out a solution, he said "I'm not happy with you and your small complaints". This company lacks the integrity and honesty you'd expect when you're trusting a contractor with your house. What a shame! ***Problems included uneven walls, unlevel tubs, leaky pipes and drains, unsecure toilets, very bad carpentry, loose flooring, code non-compliant electrical work, and shoddy masonry...***

Great project! The Bento team was very helpful with the design and planning of our fire pit, and the installation went very well. I look forward to our next project with the Bento team and would recommend them to anyone. Chris

Bento construction rebuilt a retaining wall on our property. Rafael and Fernando were professional, knowledgeable and conscientious. They always followed up on our questions and worked seamlessly with the structural engineer. The work they did was top-notch. Fernando spent several hours each day on site with the other workers. They began promptly on the day we had arranged and finished the work within the time they estimated. Their estimate came in lower that three or four other companies. They were a pleasure to work with and I recommend them most highly.

I have worked with many, many contractors over the past 30 years and it is on rare occasion that I have the ability to give one of them 10 stars. Fernando and Raphael were consummate professionals. Their timeliness in returning phone calls, and scheduling my appointment and estimate was immediate. They provided me with all the proper documentation that I asked for licenses, insurance, etc. within a few hours. As for the quality of their work..... All as I can say, that if I could give them more than 10 stars I would. All my neighbors have commented on the excellent quality of the work and how quickly it has been completed. His laborers were all polite and helpful. They left the job site looking like they had never been there every day when they left the job. I would hire them again or feel totally comfortable recommending them for any masonry job to which they aspire. Hire them!! I promise you will be totally satisfied!!

Bento Construction is a great find. We were undertaking a rather large project and chose a contractor for the exterior work (interior work was done through a different GC). Unfortunately, that contractor didn't work out due to fraud (the pictures of his work on his website weren't his own - as evidenced during legal proceedings). Without a contractor for the outside work we thought our project was doomed. Then we were introduced to Bento. Fernando and Rafael are rare - the perfect blend of great trade craft and also great business skills. The quality of their work is amazing - everyone who has seen the project has made gushing comments about the masonry work. And, Fernando has some great insights on how to make a couple of improvements that really add huge value without breaking the bank. Rafael's project management is what you would hope, and expect, from a company. Proposals are detailed and clear, communication is open and frequent and any change requests are responded to promptly, even Sunday nights after 10pm! I strongly recommend Bento Construction and, I've had them back twice for follow on work and am on their schedule again this year to install our pergola. You can't go wrong choosing Bento Construction.

The retaining wall in front of our house has been an issue of concern for quite a while. After some harsh winters and heavy rainfalls, the wall was leaning more and more towards the driveway. Last Saturday, Raphael and Fernando, the owners of Bento, came by to have a look at it and to evaluate the options for fixing the wall; from the beginning, we were impressed by their professional approach and obvious expertise. But they did not even have the time to send us an estimate for the reconstruction – the wall collapsed that same evening. We called Bento right away and Raphaël and Fernando came back with their crew of three people the next day, cleaned up and secured the construction site. We were told that they would reschedule some of their other contracts and could start the reconstruction of the wall immediately. Since they started last Monday, the team of Bento – three people and the owners – did not stop to amaze us: we had never experienced contractors with such a strong work commitment and ethics as these ones. They were working hand in hand as an excellently coordinated team, everyone knew exactly, what the next step of the process would be; also in regard of the neighbors, the noise was kept on an absolute minimum, no radio, no shouting, and they exceeded our expectations regarding punctuality, caution and security about our property, and cleanliness by far. Yesterday, after six days, the wall was standing again (including a new draining system), the trees and bushes of the front and side garden were back in place (well-watered all the time in an extra bed which had been set up in the back yard!) and our home looks like before, with the exception of a new, stable and properly looking retaining wall. We highly recommend Bento company, we were so glad to have found them, and we will certainly hire them again for all our future projects.
