They handled everything with expertise: plant selection, irrigation installation, building a custom gate from scratch, installing stairs and a walkway, reinforcing posts, and constructing a beautifully finished wall. Every recommendation they made proved thoughtful and practical, balancing aesthetics, durability, and cost. What impressed me most was their integrity — they kept to the original budget, communicated clearly, and treated the project like it was their own home. Look no further for the yard of your dreams! We recently finished a project with KT Construction to remodel our entire backyard, and we have not spent one single evening indoors since it was completed. Our yard has been transformed into this beautiful oasis and we are just so thrilled with the result. We removed everything previously existing and replaced with all new drainage and irrigation, new pavers with a beautiful travertine border edge, and all new trees, plants and sod. We also added beautiful water features and an equally beautiful fire pit with stacked stone, travertine and fire spheres. Steve Scharf, who we worked with on the design, is a total pro and has truly impressive design ideas, all of which we included. Not to mention he was a pleasure to work with throughout our project. We were beyond impressed with KT Construction as a company, and the fantastic and always respectful crew headed by foreman Alex. Everything went exactly as we expected with timeline and budget, and their work was meticulously and flawlessly executed. We have never witnessed a harder working crew, and we shared that with them often. We simply couldn't have chosen a better contractor for the job, and we look forward to working again with Kurt, Steve and the fabulous crew to complete the additional phases of our project.

Working with KTs principals and their team for over a year on our project was a genuine bright spot in our lives! If you have experience with construction You know..... If you don’t have experience in this endeavor, I hope you will consider my comments. Design,Collaboration, Execution and Follow Up These are the keys to success in construction. Steve’s first design meeting was one I’d open exchange. He listened to our desires and incorporated them respectfully. And yet he used his expertise and vision to make our plan amazing. Take a look at the finished product and you decide! Spending time with the scale drawings and further collaborating with Steve on small changes as we went along, enhanced the prices and resulted in an outcome we are all immensely proud of. Kurt’s General Construction (GC) expertise and his team executed the plan perfectly. The entire team respected our home, our grounds and our privacy beyond my expectations. It was always rendered clean and livable. Their combined craftsmanship, to a person, Was really fun to watch. Lastly and hugely important.......when issues arose or nature dealt us a blow, literally, they responded like paramedics! I’m available anytime to share this great KT experience with any of you. They also have access to my home for a first hand inspection.

I hired them for Landscapping, fence building for 2 houses. They were always on time, did great work, cleaned up daily and they completed the job on the day they said they would. Was so happy with their work I hired them for my moms backyard flooding problem. Again their work was impeccable. Trustworthy crew! I will always hire this company with any future projects. KT Construction did a small (~$5k) project for me in early January 2020, primarily comprised of installing pavers in and around existing patio concrete and the rear wall of my house. From scoping the job with Steve, through completion of the project with their crew, they were always timely and professional. They paid particular attention to drainage which was made difficult given the constraints of the exiting structure's elevations. The end product looks beautiful! I was especially struck by the crew's housekeeping and cleanup at the end of each day and the end of the project. Being in the construction industry myself, I can attest that this is usually the sign of a good company. I plan to reach out to them for future projects and would recommend them to anyone needing a high quality landscaping project.

KT did an outstanding job building to a backyard landscape design by Rene French that included major demolition in order to build a fireplace plus a built in barbecue. The project also included the installation of over 1500 square feet of pavers, plants, lighting as well as drainage. KT was selected over five other bidders due to their superior expertise to the competition. Once the project was completed the results confirmed that it was the best value for the money.

Landscape project involved a residential landscape replace & refresh for our 27 year old existing landscape -- front & back yards. Excellent planning and execution of project, on time, on budget. Steve was excellent listener about our needs and recommended an attractive, thoughtful plan. Project involved removing virtually all plantings in beds, significant clean-out / remove work - including several tree & stump removals, prepping beds and installing new plants. Also created new feature planting areas in front lawn; integrating project with existing mature trees / palms which were kept; fun & creating planting of succulents into new pottery, and additional work. Alex and the crew had versatile skills and worked hard, cleaned up at the end of each day, and were very professional. Neighbors commented positively about the results. Overall, recommend them highly.

Steve Schart was our landscape designer. I can't praise him enough for how he listened to what I wanted and drew up plans based on my vision. We put in a sweeping walkway with steps from the sidewalk up to the front entry. This also included retaining walls, artificial turf and planting areas with succulents. Our entire front yard went from dull to fantastic!! Steve stayed in the loop the entire time and he resolved any issues that came up immediately. I recommend Steve highly.

KT did a major landscape project at our home last year. It started out with Steve providing excellent design input and followed up with a great team of workers, led by Chuy and Alex. The entire team worked extremely hard throughout a multi-month very big project, where we did a complete rebuild of our front and rear yards. Pavers was a significant part of it and they look great with many positive reviews from neighbors and friends. Also, we had a number of unforeseen additions and they were extremely fair and reasonable with the change orders. I would highly recommend KT Construction.

KT designed and installed the landscaping at our new house. From start to finish, Steve, Kurt and the KT team were awesome. They clearly set out what they were going to do and then did it, on time and at budget. They were total professionals throughout the process. We couldn't be happier with the finished product!

As far as my experience goes, I find this company totally untrustworthy. Their website states that they are “committed to the development of long-term relationships with clients” and “we stand behind our work.” Not true. KT Construction was hired to do landscape work for us in the fall of 2009. We paid about $30,000 to do some basic hardscape work: decorative retaining wall, patio and shade cover. They did a good job with the concrete work and the deck cover was structurally sound; however, they failed to follow through with the design of the shade cover, and more importantly, with getting the building permit closed out. Fast forward to 2017. After we installed solar panels, the company had the building inspector come to sign off on the permit. Our permit was denied because we still had an open permit on our shade cover. Unknown to us, KT Construction never closed it out! So I called and left a message to call me. No response. My husband called 2 more times the following week. No response. How can anyone trust a company that doesn’t want to quickly correct their mistake. How hard would it be for them to respond and follow through; there is still money—our money—in the account, so it would not even have cost them a dime. Now it is left to us to get this permit closed out.
