We will be forever grateful to Mitch and his team for the absolutely phenomenal, inspired work they did in transforming our very large, very wild yard to a breathtaking oasis. We purchased a one-acre property that included a massive yard that had been untended for decades. So the challenge was immense - clean, grade and clear the unusable land and transform to an outdoor oasis for family, entertaining, and real outdoor living. From the outset, Mitch was accessible and listened intently to our wants, need and concerns, and he did a brilliant job of incorporating all of these into a master plan that we fell in love with. We previousy met with two other designers who presented plans, but Mitch's was not only the most beautiful and made the best use of the space, his was also the most cost-effective in that he didn't include elements which would have driven costs too high. The plans of the previous designers called for very expensive elements that really were not practical. Mitch's design work was truly inspired. But just as impressive as his master design was the quality of his team's work, their craftsmanship, their attention to detail and their professionalism. The Solena crew would arrive early every day, work hard, and clean up every night. Incredibly professional. I also appreciated that they were all perfectionists about their work. Many times I would see them working on something and adhering to meticulous levels of detail to make sure everything fit, looked and worked just right - down to the millimeter level. Mitch was on site frequently and would spend hours micro-inspecting their work. If there was something that he did not like, he would make them redo it. Many times he would do this, I could see nothing wrong but Mitch has an eye for perfection. Their concrete work is extraordrinary; their artistry with our pool, waterfalls, grotto, waterslide, fireplaces and fire elements are high-end commercial-quality; and the landscaping and use of plant material was perfectly balanced between hardscape and softscape. I feel like we got so much more for our investment, and you can tell that the overall build quality is above and beyond and will last for decades. Mitch and his team are true artists, craftsmen and professionals. We still have work to do on the yard, but we know the finished product will be the things that dreams are made of. I will recommend Solena Landscape to any and all who will ask!

Solena Landscape finished a 7-week project at our commercial property a few weeks ago. The crew was here on time every day, worked safely and the project was on budget. There was extensive demo involved of the old landscaping and numerous trees removed, all without any issues. Our irrigation was replaced, new sod along with a concrete walkway. Their plant selection was perfect, and the size and quality of the new plants and trees was impressive. Job well done and would recommend them to anyone looking a high-quality landscaping project. Solena Landscape created a welcoming tropical backyard and a magical courtyard for our 1950s modern house that not only complimented the style of the home, but brought these spaces to life. The backyard now features a tropical palapa structure designed by Solena. Overhanging the pool, it has become a place for both relaxation and play. The Solena-created outdoor kitchen is easy to use and blends seamlessly into the design of our house. Solena listens to its customers. I wanted a magical, unusual courtyard – one where fairies and gnomes would like to live and play. I got just that … with fairy houses and enchanted foliage. Our previous courtyard art, including our fountain, was incorporated into the design, saving us money. We especially appreciate the post-installation support provided by Solena. We had one problem – plants that were not happy – and that was solved almost immediately to our satisfaction. Mitch and the crew at Solena Landscape are the best. We’ve used Mitch at two different houses and his work is phenomenal. They can do EVERYTHING. Pools, fountains, all manner of hardscape, landscaping, lighting, etc. If you can dream it, they can create it.

Mitch and his team designed and created an entryway and patio for us that is both beautiful and elegant. We had them put in pavers, artificial grass, specialty lighting and all new landscaping. Solena Landscaping, including Mitch Kalamian, its chief architect and contractor, and Hugo and the rest of the construction crew, have provided us with a magnificent landscape plan that has been superbly constructed. Mitch completely revamped our decades-old landscape, putting in a very modern, eco-friendly design that featured many distinctive touches: a front courtyard area with ceramic fountain, a beautiful sweeping driveway design with pavers, distinguished side gates, a covered patio, spa, exercise pool with Riverflow controlled current, fire bowls with water features, dramatic and colorful lighting, and a heated redwood shower and changing area. Mitch is a master designer who works in a collaborative, creative, and inclusive manner, leading with great ideas and seeking the homeowner's vision as well. He is very straightforward, deliberate, and honest in his planning and contracting, fully bonded and insured, precise in his calculations, transparent and responsible with work order changes, and very meticulous about handling every design and construction detail down to the last refined edge. Solena Landscape has a staff of artisans who have worked happily with Mitch for many years, and watching his crew constructing exacting wood, plaster, and stonework has been a revelation. In addition, the crew is courteous, communicative, thorough, and responsible, taking genuine pride in their craftsmanship. By the end of the project, we were almost sorry to see them finish, as the group had been a welcome addition to our home. When I first contacted Solena Landscape, my mission was to create an "EPIC" pool. I gave Mitch my vision and he took it from there. What they delivered was beyond my highest expectations. They completely transformed my backyard in to an amazing paradise with rock waterfalls, a sunken fire pit, grotto, slide and 16 foot projector screen. Mitch, Hugo, and the entire crew are incredible artists and masters at what they do. The quality, details, and professionalism exceeded all expectations. Everyone that sees the "Epic Pool" for the first time has only one comment...Wow!

Solena Landscape has just completed the most incredible makeover of our front and backyard, going above and beyond anything we could have ever imagined was possible.The front yard includes a courtyard with gate, bubbling water fountain, beautiful pavers, and an artistically done drought friendly yard. The backyard includes a pool with a Riverflow current for exercise with a jacuzzi flowing in to it, an open room with stained glass and a tile roof, a barbecue area with refrigerator and countertops for eating and serving, a fire pit and outdoor shower and drought friendly plants and privacy trees. He put in very high quality night lighting which totally enriches the visual experience. We expect to enjoy our yards for many years to come!! Mitch Kalamian is an extremely gifted architect/outdoor artist who has an amazing eye, incredible taste, and collaboratively offers endless creative ideas. It is obvious that he sincerely enjoys and takes great pride in his work, and truly cares about his clients' satisfaction. He is a highly ethical, responsible, honest, reliable, and caring professional who sets the highest standards for his work and his crew. When my husband and I could not agree on a particular decision, Mitch was able to come up with a compromise that suited both are needs. On the business end, there are never any surprises or alterations from what is promised. Mitch is always very clear about what is owed at what point in the project, and in spite of the heavy rains we had last winter, completed the project at the time that he had originally estimated. His crew has an excellent work ethic, are an honest, caring and experienced group of men. Even our neighbors commented on how clean and respectful they were. I cannot imagine a more professional, talented, company to do outdoor landscaping than Solena Landscape, and if I could give 15 stars, I would. One will consider themselves highly fortunate, if Solena Landscape does their landscape project!

I hired Solena Landscape to design the full landscaping plans for my newly built home. Mitch is very professional and easy to work with. He listened to what was important to me, and created a design that integrates beautifully with the interior and exterior of my home. Mitch's team also performed the landscaping work. I was very impressed with Hugo and the crew, who are also very professional and maintained a clean, safe work environment. The materials used and workmanship are very high quality. I also enrolled in Mitch's Perfect Garden Program to maintain everything for me and I continue to appreciate their attention to detail in keeping everything looking great and in good working condition.

I hired Mitch Kalamian of Solena Landscape to design and construct a complete make over of our front and backyards. This was a large and complicated project involved extensive demolition, a new swimming pool and spa ( rock waterfall,slide and grotto ) ,two large fire pits, BBQ/bar area, putting green and multiple other unique features. I have dealt with many contractors over the years and Mitch/Solena ranks right at the top of the list. Mitch is a perfectionist with a keen eye for detail. His crew members are all expert craftsmen who work hard and leave the job site clean and orderly. The work now complete is incredible.
