Stone Man

We wanted a true dry stack wall made from natural stone. Many suppliers claim they can do that, very few had examples of that type of work. Mark had great examples of his work building dry stack. Incredibly, Mark was able to build this unique wall in our lawn such that when the lawn was barely disturbed, looking like the wall had been there for years. HIs ability to handcraft hundreds of individually differently stones into a beautiful wall speaks to his ability as a true artisan and master of his trade. I can't imagine any stone work being beyond him.

The Stoneman was a very professional company to work with. He came and look at what I wanted and sent me pictures and an estimate on the job. When he was at my house working he was again very professional and organized. When he left at the end of every day he cleaned up the area he was working at to the point you hardly knew he was there. I found his price to be very reasonable. He gave good advise on the kind and colour of stones to use and also left a book with different kinds of stone to use. I was very happy in the end results and would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants stone work done.

Mark recently completed our patio project for us, and we could not be more pleased! The project included the patio, a breezeway between garage and workshop, and a parking area beside the garage. You can see from the photo that he incorporated a small wall, suggested adding the attractive curve along the outside edge, and created a smooth grade into the adjacent workshop. Mark is a real professional, taking great pride in his work. The job was completed on time, and within budget. We would highly recommend The Stoneman for your stone work needs.

We Had Mark come over to scope out a fireplace that we wanted updated. He took measurements and got back to us with a quote. He was very thorough with the job and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Would highly recommend mark for any stone work you need!

Mark created our stone driveway interlocking, front porch, walkway on both sides of the house and pool deck. After these many years, we are still proud of the work that Mark put into it, a job well done. To date, we are still being complimented on both his design and workmanship. I would like to add that Mark is a true professional and far exceeded our expectation. His follow up in the weeks later says a lot about the care and after service, proves that he takes pride in his work. We pay and received his Five Star service. So much so, that we have told our neighbors that if they are not completely satisfied with their finish product that we would pay for it. Delighted to say that Mark has not disappointed us. We are more that happy to show off one of his many masterpiece.

Professional approach to a small task. Took ownership of the project to see it through. Was unable to finish due to early cold snap but will finish in the spring .

Mark was amazing. He laid my driveway 30 years ago and it held up well with very few ruts. He relaid it, completed a patio and pillars with a stone wall in the back a couple of years ago. Beautiful work. He is responsible and reliable. You will not be disappointed.

I am very happy with Marks work on repairing my front steps & the installation of stone on the front of my house. I know that I will never have to have the steps redone because Mark did a quality job on the base. The work was done in a timely fashion & the job site was left clean & tidy. Great job!
