Terra Verde

I was very dissapointed in this firm. I contacted them to come give us a proposal for a fairly substantial residential project. After the initial consultation, and despite several attempts to contact him, I never heard back from Dan, the person who came to meet with us. After meeting with additional very talented and professional landscape architects in the area who spent more time with us, asked pertinent questions at the consultation and got back to us in a very timely fashion, I would not recommend this firm.

Terra Verde designed and installed a bluestone patio and plantings. From our initial contact with designer Matt Palin, through installation directed and supervised by Dan Buttner, we were very pleased with the responsiveness, knowledge and professionalism of both. The end result was truly a collaboration of effort and they worked hard to accommodate our needs. Both were accessible to us and very willing to help with design changes and made suggestions that truly improved the end result. Both went above and beyond to make sure all our questions were answered, scheduled visits to the stone site and helped us navigate concerns with a neighbor's fence. Any issues we had were dealt with promptly and professionally. Timelines were met as promised. We enthusiastically recommend Terra Verde.

Our contractor highly recommended Dan at Terra Verde and we couldn't be happier with our experience and the way the project turned out. We met Dan, along with our contractor, on site at a recent home patio Terra Verde has just completed near our home. We were very pleased with the quality of the work. We scheduled Dan to come by our house to measure out the space. He was quick to reply to emails and phone calls which was nice. I am a visual person, and he even came by to spray paint the outline of the patio on our grass so we could really see how large the patio was going to be. The project was completed right on time. We love the space and it really added to our backyard. Our guests are always impressed. We also added lip lighting to the patio wall - which we love! It's on a timer with the rest of our yard. Highly recommended!

The team at Terra Verde is reliable, polite, honest, and efficient. We approached them with a large project - everything from clearing and filling, trenching for electrical and burying a propane tank for a generator, grading, planting, hardscape, pergola, etc... We started working with them in early 2013 on plans and budget. Their designs were exactly what we were hoping for, and over the next six to eight months our yard was a construction zone. They did a great job of mitigating the impact on our family, they worked with our vendors as needed (generator, swingset, etc...), and they were friendly and straightforward from start to finish. Our project manager Dan Buttner become such a regular face that our two year old knew him by name! In the end we had a yard we could be proud of, and that worked well for our family.

Terra Verde has been doing landscape work at our home for the last 5 years and have transformed our yard. Over that time they have constructed patios, stone walls and extensive gardens. Their masonry work is impeccable and they take as much pride in the end result as we do. They are a pleasure to work with and we cant wait for our next project.

We had worked with Dan Buttner of Terra Verde on our last house and were so pleased with the results that choosing Terra Verde again for our new home was an easy choice. We had established a good working relationship with Dan. He listened to our ideas and offered design and cost alternatives for us to consider. The Terra Verde work crew did outstanding and professional work on our patio details including precision paver cuts, curving walkways and border highlight features. We were just as pleased with the care taken on the part of the job you don’t see, the preparation. Terra Verde used quality base material and compacted it properly to avoid settling of the pavers with time. Our patio is over one year old at this point and still looks perfect. We recommend Terre Verde for your landscape and hardscape needs. We all took the time together to perfect the design and work out the many details required for a great project outcome. The result was a beautiful landscape and patio for our new home that we couldn’t be more proud of.

The project was installation of a 1500 sq ft unilock paver patio around my 16x32 pool, including pool coping. Job was performed perfectly with proper grading resulting in rain and water running off in the right directions. Everything is level, square, and tight. They were honest and reliable. They always came when they said they were going to come and worked within the time frame given to me during the estimate, which was nice as other companies lately seem to give you the run around and then you have to chase them to start/finish. They were a little higher in price than some of my other estimates, but I feel that sometimes "you get what you pay for" and in this case, they performed high quality work. I would recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation.
