First Call Relocations

Terrible company. Very good to charge you extra after signing initial one. Not on time, terrible customer service, not professional at all. Never use them.

I hired First Call Relocation Company to move all of my belongings including my car and motorcycle from Los Angeles, California to Buffalo, New York. Upon arrival to my home in Buffalo, New York, both my car and motorcycle were damaged along with a majority of my large furniture. All of my furniture was purchased brand new in April, 2018 and was damaged during the move in July 2018. When my car was delivered it had 2 dents and paint scrapes on my hood. My motorcycle had countless areas of damage including broken mirrors, dented fender, scraped and dented fuel tank and more. Our furniture was dented, smashed, cracked, chipped and unsalvageable. 2 days prior to receiving our shipment, we were informed by a semi-truck driver who was driving our shipment from New Jersey to Buffalo, that the semi-truck had been involved in an accident. We have immediately contacted First Call Relocation and filled out an extensive claim form. First Call informed us that it can take up to 120 business days for the claim to be reviewed. The 120 day mark was January 9th, 2019 and we have since then contacted the company asking for an update on our claim. We have not received anything. Between the receipts of all of our brand new and purchased furniture, our car and motorcycle we are totaling roughly 10,000 in damages. We have photos and receipts of our furniture as well as photos of our car and motorcycle before the move. We were originally quoted $6,600 total to move our belongings and vehicles. The day of the move, we were told it would be an additional $2,400 after our belongings were already packed into the truck. This company advertises that they are apart of the Better Business Bureau on their website, however, if you go to BBB they are not listed. There are many similar complaints on this company and after doing some research, they also go by another name as well.

DO NOT USE this company. UNPROFESSIONAL. WORST PART OF MY MOVE WAS DEALING WITH FIRST CALL RELOCATIONS. On 9/15 they picked up my stuff from Chantilly, VA and told me that I owed them more money for extra stuff and packing materials. They took my stuff and said I could pay the next day. Every time call I speak to some different and they tell me something different. They said my FADD (First Available Delivery Date) has been set for 9/23 and that they have 21 business days to get my stuff out to San Fran. 10/1 - I was told that my delivery window was 10/7-10/9 10/3 - I emailed to confirm the dates and was told the below from a Jennifer Rincon "Im sorry, we were unable to load your items onto the truck. There was not enough space. Your items are still in our warehouse facility. We will inform you of when they will be delivered. No additional amount will be added to your bill for storage." 10/10: I was told my delivery window was Sat (10/13), Sun (10/14), or Monday (10/15) but no one called and my stuff was not delivered. 10/15: Emailed Jenny and she told me it would take 2-4 more business days 10/15: Received an email from Deliah Thompson with the claims form to fill out if they don't deliver within the 21 day window. Claim form attached. The company continues to give me different information and none of it turns out to be true. I did finally get my stuff on 10/19 so over a month after they picked it up.

I'm currently in a dispute with them. They have refused to honor the payment schedule they agreed to on the phone, and have stated they are not responsible for the promises of their sales staff.

This is a truly horrible company that does not stand by its word. In fact, they are intentionally misleading by quoting you one price and then finding ways to tack on extra expenses until the move becomes preposterously expensive. I actually got charged $250 extra for having “different size boxes”. Would a professional and experienced moving company really expect every box to be the same size and shape?!

I was ready to work as much as I could even though I would hire movers for my move because of the poor experiences I had with movers in the past. But luckily, I hired First Call Relocations whose movers are excellent folks. The guys did not even allow me to touch a pin. They told me that they were paid for it and they did everything perfectly such that I had nothing to worry about. You guys are the excellent. I am very happy to have followed my friends’ recommendations to move with these guys. At first, I doubted their capability but when they began working, I realized that they were a bunch of expert movers. It was a remarkable experience because the guys handled everything perfectly, moving and packing my stuff in the right place. I give them A++ for this move

After several disappointments from other relocation companies, I have always had a negative approach towards relocation companies. Thanks to First Call Relocations that made me realize that not every company takes work for granted. I totally support and trust First Call Relocations in their line of duty since they are best at it. It is still fresh in my mind the honorable attendance I was given during the relocation process. First Call Relocations is the reason for the great feeling I maintain and would not mind contacting them again for relocation services. This has been the same testimony all my friends I introduced First Call Relocations.

Those services were worth every penny from my pocket. That level of hard work, determination and success deserved more rewards. I felt like they were paid less for what they did. The relocation from Colorado to Missouri was done wholeheartedly. The job was handled quite well. More specifically, I loved the manner in which my properties were handled. They were so gentle with them, I must say. These are the kind of people with respect to people properties and I sincerely appreciate them for that. I hope they will be there for me when I need their services in future.

When I think of First Call Relocations, I visualize all the positive aspects of a reliable service provider. When I take a look at their service men, I see perfection and nothing less. I once hired out this relocation company on my transfer. It was only a one-time experience, but the memories it left in me are long lasting. The impression was a perfect one. It was from deep down their heart that the employees relocated me. They did it passionately and at the end of it all, I was left inspired.

I never expected such depth of courtesy from these movers but they did more than enough. Most moving guys I hired in the past were nothing to write home about when it comes to courtesy but these guys were different. I give them A++ in this move not only because of the excellent job they did but also because of their courtesy. I thought that moving is not complete without stress but this was a wrong view. With First Call Relocations, my move was completely stress-free. I enjoyed all through. It was a pleasant surprise for me but I was happy after all that they made the move interesting for me.

We needed speed in our last move that I had to tell the moving guys ahead of time how important speed was for me in the move. They assured me that they are will deliver the best and indeed they did exactly as they promised. I was really surprised at how fast we moved in this move. The guys came pretty early and started working. We moved quite early and got to my destination on time. Despite the speed, nothing was damaged during the move.

I liked my collaboration with my four movers from First Call Relocations. They were truly professional and still very approachable. They didn’t scare my kids away and I salute them for being able to move my bulky gym machine. Surely, these guys can move anything and everything. If you are in Miami or anywhere else in Florida and searching for a mover who will give you good value for your bucks, I recommend that you use First Call Relocations. I have used this company twice and I am happy for what they did for me.
