Zip Moving and Storage

Paid $4,500 to move 3,003 lbs of belongings from Annapolis to Houston. My custom made farmhouse dining table was one of the most valuable items and it was INTENTIONALLY DAMAGED. Someone ripped all four legs off of it, leaving splinters and breaks and holes where the long screws had been. We cannot comprehend why anyone would do such a thing. It's vandalism, by movers! Ourvassigned moving coordinator, Jessica, was unresponsive. Finally someone else was assigned; by then our move was almost over. They promise you the moon and the stars when you first call them, but they do not deliver. Extremely unprofessional company.

1.Cost Over-Run: The initial quote was based both on a detailed list of key items I provided as requested and also a “video estimate." The estimator said he expected a lower final price than quoted. On moving day, as soon as the team entered, they called the home office, who “authorized” a price $1,000 higher than original estimate and were not able to explain why satisfactorily. The movers themselves were not terribly efficient: e.g., one of the workers was found chatting up a staff member in the apartment building. In the end, the final bill was only a few hundred dollars more than the initial estimate—but that takes into account that a friend and I also contributed considerable labor to packing and moving items. I also declined the unpacking service. 2.Damaged Items: A several-hundred-dollar Panama hat was crushed inside a box of heavy items. New Ethan Allen chairs were packed in the truck without any wrapping or protection, and the wooden legs from one chair stained the upholstered seat of others. A large Serena and Lily arm chair was left without wrapping, resting its weight directly on top of a sharp metal corner of a bed-frame. In the packing process, several pictures were stacked flat, directly on top of a nice oil painting—with the metal hooks of one picture sitting directly on the painted surface. The base of an Aeron chair was cracked. Far less care than other movers I've used. 3.Unmoved Items: I left my apartment before the team was finished packing so I could buy them no lunch and meet them to unload. At the end of the day, I returned to apartment and found all sorts of items that were not packed and moved as they should have been. Zip Movers was not willing to cover the cost of repairs. All of the movers involved claimed that had been working with Zip Movers for several years, so I do not believe these issues are due to new staff. so I could buy them no lunch an

Zip Moving and Storage are totally awesome. Incredibly reliable, reasonably priced, and super efficient. They worked non-stop and got me moved out, and in, without any issues. They also offered the best price out of everyone and it was easy to reserve a spot with them. I will hire them for every move from now on and I highly recommend them to all of my friends and family.

Zip Moving and Storage was the first moving company I ever used and everything went great! My movers were the best and they couldn't have been better. They showed up on schedule, were communicative, and took good care of our belongings. They work very fast, without any damage to my property and my belongings. You can just sit and relax. Highly recommended.

We have had to move long distances multiple times in the past, but our experience with Zip Moving far exceeded our expectations. The crew was very cordial and very hard working! We also experienced a few snafus due to the age of the building we moved into and they found ways to work around very big issues, demonstrating that not only are they big muscles but big brains! We were so pleased with the services. We also found it easy to communicate with them in the booking process (they actually take their calls whereas others I tried to call insisted I use email and still managed to mess up our inventory list so we dropped them). Tony was friendly and confirmed all our details at the time. Also, online payment by link is super easy. So happy fate led us to Zip Moving and Storage. We would STRONGLY recommend them!

I have moved many times in my life. I must say, Zip Moving and Storage is the best moving company I’ve ever been involved with. They are attentive, reasonably priced, professional, fast and on time! They reach out prior to the move, and they keep you informed on the backend of the move and the frontend. They picked up my stuff super fast and they were very considerate and empathetic. I truly wish more companies practiced their philosophy! If you're looking for a local move or long distance move, Zip Moving is your mover!

Do not use this company! They broke my belongings as they moved my belongings from my storage and then pretended that the items never existed. I submitted a claim and they gave me nothing! The physical items that came back broken were also not reimbursed properly. How do you offer 3 dollars for things that were worth over 40? They may charge you less to move the stuff but it comes with a price. Do yourself a favor and pick a company that will properly take care of your belongings. I will never use them again and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. They even blocked my number so I couldn't call to ask them about my claim. I had to use a new number. You have been warned!

Zip Moving and Storage was awesome! So we recently moved to Dallas, into our dream house, and everything was just perfect! This was our first move, so we weren’t really sure how the pricing works. When we spoke with the representative they were patiently explaining everything about how moving works and the estimate for our move was reasonable in our opinion. We decided to pack our items on our own, and they were pleasant enough to give us packing tips! Now we realized that moving is a difficult task, but thankfully these amazing movers made it super easy. Our belongings arrived at the agreed time and the truck was unloaded within just a couple of hours and our furniture assembled. Wow, after many crazy stories about moving companies we heard from our family and friends we are lucky to hire an amazing company like Zip Moving and Storage that really exceeded our expectations. Now we can confidently give recommendations to everyone we know.

This was our first move, and we were so scared from hearing all these terrifying stories about things going missing or arriving broken from our friends and family. But no, Zip Moving & Storage definitely did the complete opposite, outstanding services from start to finish! We hired Zip movers in Bethesda, Maryland. My husband and I got up extra early on the day of the move, and tried to disassemble what we thought needed to be taken apart, but in the meantime the movers arrived and did all of that for us, no extra charge! We were so relieved because honestly we wouldn’t be able to do it on our own. Careful and organized loading and unloading of the truck shows extra care on their part and experience. Moving crew also assembled all of our furniture pieces, except the bunk bed for our kids, but that is fine, we managed fine on our own. We want to thank all the staff, they were all so cheerful and polite, and would recommend them to anyone!

My belongings were always treated with the utmost care by their experienced movers and I never had an issue in the past. They arrive on time, and are diligent the entire duration of the move. No sitting around, just careful, solid, thought-out work. The team provided another amazing experience, plus I got a discount for being a returning customer, pretty sweet! Their truck loading is also the best one I’ve seen yet! I tried other moving companies in the past, but none like Zip, I would definitely recommend these guys.
