My job was not a "typical" deck maintenance project. It was a big job that included 2 decks plus a long stairway from the house to a lake. In addition, it wasn't just a "re-coat". It was preparing the stairs for an "experimental" weather protection system. Third, I was doing this with a very limited budget. So from square one, I was looking for a contractor that had a very broad background and could "think outside the box". To keep the cost low, I agreed to let him "fit me in" while he worked on another large project. This was a win for both me and his company because, on any large project, thing would always be interrupted by unexpected obstacles. When that occurred, he could send workers to my project. What would total to only 2 full days of effort was done over a period of 12 days. That allowed me to jump in and do stair and deck patching along the way. They made me feel like I was "one of the team". In short, if you have construction skills of your own, this is a company that will work with you.

I had the pleasure of working with Tyler O’Neil of Altru Designs this fall. I purchased a home that needed every room painted. Tyler was able to suggest beautiful colors and showed me how they could “flow” from one room to the next. It looks amazing! Tyler walked me through the whole process and kept me informed as to what was happening and when. His quotes were extremely reasonable, and when I decided I wanted more painting done, he was able to work with me to get a a quote that worked for us both. I never felt that I was being misled or taken advantage of. Developing plans and quotes as we progressed was not an unpleasant or arduous process. I definitely got a great deal of value for my money! Tyler and his crew kept my house as neat as it can be when the entire space was being painted! They always took their shoes off and cleaned up everyday when they left. Tyler impressed me with his knowledge and skill. Also, he is very personable, polite and thoughtful, I throughly enjoyed working with him. My home looks fantastic! It makes me smile every time I look at the beautiful walls and cabinets! I have already started to discuss other projects with him. He has multiple skill sets and will be able to do most of the work himself. If he is not able to do a certain project, he will be able to find talented and trusted craftspeople in his network, Working with Tyler was a great, hassle-free process. He always listened and happy to change a color if I was not satisfied with it. I really felt like he was as invested in the project as I was. and genuinely cared if I was happy. Working with him was s great experience and I will be asking him to return in the Spring to work on my deck., power wash wash the house and build a fire pit! I highly recommend Tyler and Altru Designs! He is a hardworking. honest and easy person to work with! You will be very happy!

I found Tyler (Altru) on angi and was glad I found Him! Hired him and his team to do maintenance and painting in my old kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Tyler was awesome the whole way through, with keeping me updated on expenses and was extremely professional and detailed. Would recommend to anyone needing his services as you can’t trust many people these days, but Tyler is the real deal. Thank you Tyler/Altru!
