Scott Schmitt is everything you want in a contractor; honest, ethical, timely, responsive, fair and an overall nice guy. His painting crew did an amazing job repairing drywall, priming & painting new & old walls, staining vintage leaded glass windows, etc.. The team was professional, tidy and fast! They don’t mess around. Trust me, after living through a horrendous home renovation where everything our contractor did had to be redone, I know the difference between a competent and incompetent contractor. Scott is a competent contractor and a breath of fresh air.

Scott and crew were nice, but the job took much longer than originally expected. There were some mistakes and then touch ups that had to be made which took a lot of time to monitor and explain. Also, the incorrect trim color was used which had to be fixed causing extra delay. There were also bubbles that formed on our porch when they painted after it had just rained. All in all, the job quality and price were decent, but I didn’t feel the customer service was on par for a local small business.

Scott and his team are amazing! I hired Scott to paint the entire inside of my house. The crew showed up on time, worked all day and cleaned up everything before they left. They even helped move large furniture pieces! Scott helped me make final decisions on paint colors and it looks fabulous. I will never again paint myself! A professional job makes a world of difference. Hire this guy for your next job!!!!!

I have worked with Greenbrush Painters on several projects, most recently the repainting of the historic Director's House at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. On that project, Scott and his team came in on a very tight schedule for a complex job involving many different colors and types of paint, many rooms, and lots of architectural detailing. They were a breeze to work with: always on time, worked quickly but with care, addressed our minimal concerns (for example, very slight streaking in one room with a challenging plaster base) immediately and without protest, and always left a clean jobsite at the end of the day. Scott is responsive and cheerful and takes pride in doing an excellent job, no matter the size. I highly recommend Greenbrush Painters.

Scott Schmitt is the owner of Greenbrush painters. He and his crews do fantastic work. They are reasonably priced, and apply green/sustainable practices at every level in their business. They do residential and commercial work, and will take on special projects like refinishing wood entry doors. They are the best painters in Indy. We have used them for 20+ years.
